                                                                                                                         16th September 2009

For,          His Excellency,

                Mr. Asif Ali Zardari,

The President of Islamic Republic Of Pakistan.

                President House,

                Islamabad.

Subject:-  The Future of Christian Community in Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

                Your Excellency,

I need not remind you the “Hate Crimes” that have been committed against the Christians livening in “Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Only in year 2009, in village Kot Lakha Sing District Narowal, Bahmini Wala District Qasoor, Korain District Toba Tek Singh, Gojra District Toba Tek Sing in Punjab and Kotri in Sindh have shaken the Christian community of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Now a young boy has been killed while in Police custody on false and fabricated accusation under Section 295-B of Pakistan Penal Code.

Your Excellency, most humbly, may I ask, how many more villages will be burned by the majority community of Pakistan. How many more churches will be set ablaze, how many Holy Bibles will be desecrated and how many more innocent Christian men women and young boys will die before the government of Islamic Republic of Pakistan will start trying to think a solution to the problems of Christians of Pakistan?

We have never violated Section 295-B or 295-C of Pakistan Penal Code, yet to Avenge personal dispute with Christians, the Muslim majority, accuse our people of Desecration of Holy Quran and without any investigation our houses are destroyed by fire our churches are burnt, the Holy Bibles are desecrated and “Death Sentences is announced and innocent people are executed and the Law Enforcing Agencies and the Local Administration joins the “Hate Traders”.

Your Excellency, this routine practice of the Majority community must be stopped at some point. The “Hate Traders” have to be punished and the safety has to be provided to the Christian citizens of Pakistan (If they are citizens of Pakistan and not “Subjects”).

I request you, Your Excellency to take all necessary measures to ensure our legal and constitutional Rights to exist in Islamic Republic of Pakistan. If long term protection can not be provided to Pakistani Christian Citizens, then it would be better to shoot them, so they can get rid of the miseries, fear and sudden unprovoked anger of Muslims and death and destruction that follows.

I thank you in anticipation, Your Excellency, with hope of safer future of Christian Citizens of Pakistan.

                   Very Faithfully Yours,
                   Bishop Timotheus Nasir.

Easter Passed! Right?

April 17, 2009

Wrong! Easter is never past to the believing Christian. To those who diligently look to the Coming of Christ into their lives and hearts, Easter morning is every morning. The Tomb was Open and Empty on Easter morning 2000 years ago, and it is still Empty and Open. Christ is Risen! - not WAS risen, or will be risen. He is RISEN!

Our crosses are vacant of that sacrifice offered once and for all time for us. He is Risen, indeed.

Please wake up each day and give thanks to that Almighty Savior who has bought and paid for your Liberty with His own blood.

Every day is Easter, and Christmas, and Pentecost to those who mix love with their faith.

Grace Nol Crowell has written a beautiful Easter poem:

I walked this Easter morning in the wood
And found it good
To move along the moss-thick ailes and fell
The quick desire to Kneel
In that great dim cathedral, still and vast.
Surely the Lord has passed
That way. I saw His sandal footprints there,
And on my hair
I felt His Hand as the golden sun streamed through
The small leaves thin and new,
And in the wind of spring I heard His Voice
Bidding my heart rejoice.

"I am the Resurrection and the Life,"
He said, and the wood was rife
With stem and bud and leaf and opening flower
Rising that very hour
Out of the darkness with the winter past.
Thus I, come far-off dawn
Will arise and take my sure and certain way
Into eternal day,
Swifter than the arrows of the wind can go -
Christ says it will be so.

Have a blessed Easter Season, beginning today, and continuing beyond the Sun.

ARCHBISHOP OF CANTERBURY, THOMAS CRANMER, ON HOLY SCRIPTURE:

"If there were any word of God beside the Scripture, we could never be certain of God's Word; and if we be uncertain of God's Word, the devil might bring in among us a new word, a new doctrine, a new faith, a new church, a new god, yea himself to be a god. If the Church and the Christian faith did not stay itself upon the Word of God certain, as upon a sure and strong foundation, no man could know whether he had a right faith, and whether he were in the true Church of Christ, or a synagogue of Satan."

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Prov 1:7

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. Hosea 4:6 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32

What Christ's Death Meant to Him.

April 16, 2009

"Christ  gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." (Titus 2:14)

If one were to ask why Jesus died, the average evangelical would usually say that He died to save us from our sins. It is true that "Christ died for our sins" (1 Corinthians 15:3), but this is not the whole answer, by any means. Too many Christians think of the death of Christ only in terms of what it means for them--not what it mean to Him.

Our text says that He died for us and redeemed us from iniquity, not just to keep us from going to hell, but to "purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." Paul says: "For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and the living" (Romans 14:9). He wants a people who will have Him as Lord of their lives. "Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; . . . That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish" (Ephesians 5:25-27).

"He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again" (2 Corinthians 5:15). "How much more shall the blood of Christ . . . purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" (Hebrews 9:14). Finally, the apostle Peter reminds us that the Lord Jesus Christ "bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness" (1 Peter 2:24), "that henceforth we should not serve sin" (Romans 6:6).

We who have been saved by the redeeming death of Christ for our sins often thank Him for what He has done for us--and we should. But we also should praise Him for what He has thereby done for Himself, and then seek always to live in such a way that His holy purpose is accomplished in our lives. HMM

The Order of Melchizedek

April 15, 2009

"The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek." (Psalm 110:4)

The importance of this intriguing verse is indicated both by the fact that it is the central verse of a great Messianic Psalm (quoted at least 12 times in the New Testament) and also because this one verse constitutes one of the main themes of chapters 5-7 of Hebrews, where it is quoted no fewer than five times (Hebrews 5:6, 10; 6:20; 7:17, 21), and where Melchizedek himself is mentioned nine times. It refers to the fascinating personage glimpsed briefly in Genesis 14:18-20. Melchizedek (meaning "King of Righteousness") is said to have been "King of  Salem" (or "Peace"), but there is no record, either in secular history or elsewhere in the Bible, that there ever was such a city or earthly king. He was also called the "priest of the most high God" (Hebrews 7:1), and he suddenly appeared, then disappeared as suddenly as he had come.

Commentators mostly have assumed that Melchizedek was the chieftain of a small settlement of which we have no record, but this hardly does justice to the exalted descriptions of him in Scripture. He was obviously greater than Abraham (Hebrews 7:4), as well as Aaron, the founder of the Levitical priesthood. Furthermore, he was "without father, without mother, . . . having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually" (Hebrews 7:3). Such language is hardly appropriate merely because no genealogy is recorded.

If one takes the Bible literally, such statements could be true only of God Himself, appearing briefly in the preincarnate state of the Second Person, as King of all peace and righteousness. Now this same divine Person, "because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him" (Hebrews 7:24-25).

To God Be the Glory.

April 14, 2009

"Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake." (Psalm 115:1)

One of the great words of the Bible is the word "glory," and it should be evident that glory belongs to God, not man. Indeed, the very "heavens declare the glory of God" (Psalm 19:1). Not only do the heavens declare His glory, but "his glory |is| above the heavens" (113:4), and "the glory of the LORD shall endure for ever" (104:31). In heaven the mighty hosts of angels "give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name" (29:2).

It is thus singularly inappropriate for God's servants on earth to seek glory for themselves. "Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD" (Jeremiah 9:23-24).

This Old Testament exhortation is echoed in the New. "God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; . . . That no flesh should glory in his presence. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord" (1 Corinthians 1:27, 29-31).

As our text reminds us, God manifests His glory to us today in both mercy and truth, mercifully saving us in Christ, who is Himself God's truth (John 14:6). Thus, in Christ, "mercy and truth are met together" (Psalm 85:10), and we shall "praise thy name for thy loving kindness |same word as 'mercy'| and for thy truth" (Psalm 138:2).

Weekly devotion for April 6, 2009.

HAVE A BLESSED HOLY WEEK!

God’s justice demanded that man should be punished for his sin but God’s love wanted to forgive him and save him.

Jesus Christ is God’s solution for dealing with sin. Only through Christ we can find forgiveness. As we step into the Holy week, let us focus on pain and sufferings of Jesus Christ. He was betrayed by one of His disciples named Judas., His disciples left Him alone in the garden of Gethsemane, Peter denied Him three times, the crowed whom He healed and fed joined the opposition. In this week on Thursday night while He was praying, He was arrested by the chief priest and the elders of the temple and they took Him to the high priest’s house and then took Him to the Pilate. All night He was in the Roman courts. The Roman soldiers blindfolded Him, struck Him, and stripped Him, put a scarlet robe on Him and twisted a crown of thorns, and put it on His sacred head, mocked Him and spat on Him and struck Him on the head and face. His cross was put on His shoulders and He was brought to a place called Golgotha where He was nailed to the cross. He was on the cross for six hours and said It is finished, it is done” The work of the salvation was completed. He suffered for my sins, for your sins, although He had not committed any sin. He is the only one who was without sin in this world. But on the cross He became guilty of all iniquity. Even after His death one Roman soldier pierced His side with a spear to make sure that He was dead. He forgave those who pierced Him. The veil of the temple was tore in two from top to bottom, and the earth quaked, and the rocks were spilt and the graves were opened; and the darkness took over the land. The centurion said, truly, this was the Son of God. What an extraordinary death and what an extraordinary Savior.

HAVE A BLESSED GOOD FRIDAY

For I delivered to you first of all that which received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. (1. Corinthians 15:3-4)

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:

He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. He was wounded for our Transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.
(Isaiah 53: 3-5)

Blessings,
Mussarat Nasir.

Suo-Moto Notice!

“Do you demand to Pakistan Supreme Court Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudry to take Suo-Moto notice to repeal blasphemy law?” The Pakistan Christian Post has asked this question. I have seen the results on Pakistan Christian Post, 155 said yes, 46 say no and 2 said, “don’t know”.  I appreciate the optimism and hopes of Pakistani Christians from the “Reinstated Chief Justice” of Pakistan. Unfortunately in the almost sixty two years history of Pakistan’s judiciary, no Judge of any court including the Supreme Court of Pakistan has taken any “Suo-Moto” Notice to give any relief to the minorities of Pakistan. As a Christian I do not remember any “Chief Justice” of Pakistan who even bothered to look into the serious problems of Pakistani Christians. In March 1970, no Judge took Suo-Moto Notice, when in Murray College Sialkot; the Holy Bible was desecrated in the most hateful manner. No Suo-Moto Notice was taken by any Judge in August 1972 when the “People’s” Government” nationalized the Christian educational institutions. No Judge took Sou-Moto Notice when “Blasphemy Laws” were framed and made part of Pakistan Penal Code. Shanti Nagar in February 1997, Bishop John Joseph’s murder in May 1998, Killings of innocent Christians Bahawalpur on 28th October 2001, attacks on Murree Christian School, Texella Christian Hospital and murder of eight Christian youth went un-noticed by our Judiciary. Burning of churches in Sukker and Sanglla Hill took place when Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry was the Chief Justice of Pakistan. There are hundreds of cases of rape, murder, religious discrimination, burning of churches and Christian institutions that took place during his tenure till 9th March 2007 and from 20th July to 3rd November 2007, Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry did not take any Sou-Moto Notice or any action reported to him. I my self took up the case of a Christian woman, “Mukhtaran Bibi” who was brutally beaten by Muslims in Shekhupura and another case in May 2006 but Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudry did not even care. Very recently a church was desecrated, looted and the Christian community was attacked and forced to leave Kot Lakha Sing, District Narowal, I am waiting for a Suo-Moto Notice and action from Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry.

Unfortunately Mr. Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry took the biggest Sou-Moto action on 13th March 2007. He refused to appear before “Supreme Judicial Council” to defend himself in case of the Presidential References against him. He instead took this matter on the streets and sought help from handful Lawyers of Pakistan and political parties. He went to all major cities of Pakistan to muster support of the Lawyers, the “so-called” Civil Society, the political parties and the defeated generals of “Ex-Servicemen Society”. The present government under great political pressure restored him. It should not be forgotten that Mr. Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry took Oath under “Provisional Constitutional Order” (PCO). He is still a PCO Judge because after he was reinstated on 22nd March he did not take a fresh “Oath” under the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr. Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry has yet to prove himself innocent of the allegations that were leveled against him in the Presidential Reference of 9th March 2007. Yet now he is the Chief Justice of Pakistan for the third term under Provisional Constitutional Order and he is taking Suo-Moto actions on many issues, therefore he might be merciful to look at the plight of the minority community and especially the Christian community of Pakistan. Yet this will not happen. We have One Federal Minister for Minority Affairs, and One Provincial Minster of Minority Affaires in Punjab. They are well aware of the demand of Pakistani Christians to repeal Blasphemy Laws. Mr. Shahbaz Bhatti is also a Human Rights Activist and he is well aware of the plight of Pakistani Christians and their reservation and fears of the Blasphemy Law that is a tool in the hands of majority community to settle their scores with Pakistani Christians. I would rather request the Federal Minister Mr. Shabaz Bhatti to take “Sou-Moto” notice of Blasphemy Laws and move a “Bill” in the Parliament of Pakistan. He must take the President and the Prime Minster of Pakistan and the allies of Pakistan Peoples Party in National Assembly and the Cabinet of the Prime Minister. Yet this will also not happen.

Respected ladies and gentlemen, we are ignoring the Religious Political parties, the Mullahs and the common Muslim will allow even the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take Sou-Moto Notice on this issue. Mr. Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry became Chief Justice of Pakistan for the third time after a very hectic and long and expensive struggle. I don’t think he would risk his hard-earned post for this “Small Issue”!

Christanland!

A “Day Dream Land” of a “Day Dreamer!

CNI Gujranwala. In year 2006, a Mullah filled a Law Suit against me after he failed to face me in an open debate. The news of this Law Suit was sent to Pakistan Christian Post and by the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, thousands of people responded and wrote to the government of Pakistan and protested  against that Law Suit. The Law Suit against me was withdrawn, yet I surrendered my Pakistani Nationality in protest against discriminatory attitude of Muslim majority and silence of the government of Pakistan. Taking advantage of my situation and protest, Mr. Raymond W. Durrani, tried to cash my decision to surrender my Pakistani Nationality, took out a  “Map” of Pakistan and drew some lines on it and to attract the attention of the people, floated an idea of a separate “Homeland” for Christians and named this drawing on the map ”Christland”. This put me in another problem and I had to give clarifications to various government agencies and Muslim Clergy. I also wrote an article “Don’t use my shoulders to fire your gun”. I surrendered my nationality in protest and not to create a separate State. I am a Pakistani who is proud of his country Pakistan, whatever the situation may be. I may be having many reservations on sad situation of Christian minority, I love Pakistan and I would be the last person to demand or support any idea of dividing my country into any “Land”.

In my humble opinion if Mr. Raymond W. Durrani is so keen to “create” a Christian country within the geographical boundaries of Pakistan, he should come to Pakistan and try to muster some support from local Pakistani Christian community. Relaxing in safe heavens it is very convenient to float such insanity. I would ask him to come to Pakistan and announce demand “Christland” he would not find even ten people who will support him.

It bothers me that some “Black Sheep” type Pakistani living abroad want to disrupt the day to day life of Pakistani Christians living in Pakistan, that are not ideal though yet far more better than the countries they live in. I would ask Mr. Durrani to demand “Christland” in the country he lives in, and muster support for his “Day Dream Land”. I challenge him that he would be on next flight to Pakistan.

Mr. Raymond W. Durrani, in his insanity writes rubbish for people who have been respected all over the world for their outstanding achievements in religious field and for their services for the Christian community of Pakistan. He forgets his past and even his own present. Yet he must remember that many people do know what he is and what he was. He is an “empty mind which has become devil’s workshop”. By blaming people of high stature, he only reveals his limited scope of thinking. I wish he had given remarks on Dr. K. L. Nasir during his life time, he would have cleared the dirt of his brain in a very affectionate way. It is being very unfair to a deceased man that he should be alleged without any proof when he is in his grave and can not give befitting reply. However putting any blame on  Dr. K. L. Nasir is “spitting at the heaven” and the result is known to every one. As far as I am concerned, Mr. Raymond W. Durrani may say any stupid thing about me, I really don’t care for ill informed self proclaimed “Revolutionary”. I try to serve my Lord in the best possible way and I do not use any ones shoulder to fire my gun. Collecting funds from abroad is not a crime. There are hundreds of thousand organizations in the world that are helping the destitute around the world by collecting funds from abroad. If Mr. Durrani is not getting any funding from any where, myself or any other organization is not responsible for that. I can understand the “jealousy” of Mr. Raymond W. Durrani, yet I have no remedy for his jealousy. May Lord God show the right way and stop him from “day dreaming” and throwing mud on any one who does not believe in his Day Dream Land”.

Weekly devotion for the week of August 11, 2008

Hospitality is an instruction from God. Hospitality is disappearing from our modern society. When we hear that somebody wants to visit us, we first think about the time, effort and expense it will require. True hospitality means to open your heart to the visitors and make them feel truly welcome. Being a warmhearted and generous host was highly valued in the times past. These days it is so different, we are afraid to talk to strangers, visitors, immigrants and anyone who looks different then us. This kind of attitude is also in our churches and then we complain about the membership. The new Testament shows that the first Christians placed high value on hospitality, even it is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The warmth of the early Christian Fellowship was one of the reasons that the new faith spread so rapidly. A kind word, a smile, and a handshake can do wonders to a stranger.

“If a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not abuse him. But the stranger that dwells among you shall be to you like one born among you, and shall love him as yourself; for you were stranger in the land of Egypt.” (Leviticus 19: 33)

Jesus said, “When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid. But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind. And you will be blessed, because they can not repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just.” (Luke 14: 12-14)

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kind affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another, Distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality. (Romans 12: 9, 10, 13)

“Praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” (Acts 2: 47)

Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to Me.” (Matthew 25: 40)

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:

Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. (Romans 12: 13)

Weekly devotion for the week of Aug 4, 2008

When we have relationship with a person, we like to have fellowship with that person. Fellowship is a richer word than relationship because fellowship involves deep sharing, intimacy, a common purpose and a joy in one another’s company. The Bible says that Almighty God desires fellowship with what he has created. Each individual human being is called to fellowship with the One who made us all. When we have fellowship with God we enjoy talking to him in prayer, reading His Word and singing his praises. By having fellowship with Him we know that God dwells among us.

“I will walk among you, and will be your God, and you shall be my people”.

(Leviticus 26:12)

“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call his name “Emmanuel” which means God with us.” (Matthew 1: 23)

“Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them”. (Matthew 18:20)

Jesus said “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without me you can do nothing. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love. This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” (John 15:4, 5, 10, 12)

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:

“God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.” (1. John 1: 5, 6)

 22nd June 2008

.Islamic Republic of Baynaziristan.

CNI. Gujranwala. 21st June 2008 was the birthday of Late Ms. Baynazir Bhutto, who was killed in a suicide attack on 27th December 2007 in Rawalpindi. I wrote my last article in January 2008 on the death of Baynazir Bhutto, thereafter I did not feel like writing as no one wants to read the truth.

The way Mr. Asif Ali Zardari and the Pakistan Peoples Party celebrated the 55th birthday of Ms. Baynazir Bhutto was a slap on the faces of millions of people facing starvation, unable to feed their families they are committing suicides. The nation (if it is still a nation) is facing so many serious challenges. We have energy crisis, food crisis, crisis of militancy, decline in foreign investment, sharp decline in foreign reserves, daily fall in “Stock Market” law and order situation, daily price hike and countless other problems that every common citizen is facing but the “People Friendly” government is least concerned. In the cities and towns the roads are broken, the sewerage is in such a bad shape that filthy water is standing on roads and even inside of people’s homes. The whole nation is trembling to face the “Budget 2008/2009”, yet the government is saying “the nation has to swallow the bitter pill” yet again! If we are being told that we have to swallow the bitter pill, why so much money is being wasted on hypocritical meaningless celebrations, by the “Poor” representatives of the people of Pakistan who were elected to resolve the problems of common man and not to impose more burden on common man that he/she can not carry. Taking out rallies and demonstrations all over Pakistan  has made the life of a common citizen miserable. Every Thursday the Courts are closed due to the weekly strike of the lawyers. And then we talk of “Rule of Law” and “Justice for all”. Since the president of Pakistan a deposed the former Chief Justice of Pakistan, a new segment of society has emerged on the political and social scenario of Pakistan. It is called “The Civil Society”. I fail to understand from where this so-called “Civil Society” has emerged? Wealthy people who have lot of time and money at their disposal, the so-called Human Rights Activists and the thankless bunch of senior retired military officers who enjoyed all the good things when they were in uniform are shamelessly talking on the issues on which a soldier never opens his mouth. They have cause embarrassment for Pakistan on national and international level. I do not understand why thy have not been convicted under 1926 Official Secret Act. Yet they are respected! And finally the electronic and print media which is presenting a very bleak picture of Pakistan. I wish they were kept under tight control as by the previous “ Democratic Civilian Governments”.

Mr. Asif Ali Zardari changed the name of Islamabad International Airport and renamed it as “Bynazir International Airport. He also changed the name of a number of main roads in the country and a hospital in Rawalpindi. I would give a very humble suggestion to change the name of Islamic Republic of Pakistan and give it a new name, “Islamic Republic of Baynaziristan”. So far the new democratic demonstrated any concern for Pakistan and has given any relief to Pakistani people, by changing the name of Pakistan, the government of Baynaziristan may give some relief to the citizens of “Baynaziristan”!

I don’t know how long we shall see such useless things happen to Pakistan. Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto nationalized banks, industry and educational institutions, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari is “Personalizing” the whole country as it is his family inheritance. Where is Pakistan that Father of the nation gave us? It has been eaten up by the selfish politicians of this unfortunate nation that failed to become a nation in almost sixty one years.

Ms. Baynazir Bhutto became a “martyr” by her own default on 27th December 2008. What she left back was a burning and destroyed Pakistan. The railway tracks were destroyed, the trains were burnt and massive destruction took place in Pakistan from 27th of December 2007 to 30th December 2007. The whole country was paralyzed for three days. On 30th December the Pakistani people watched and heard the “Democratic Will” of Ms. Baynazir Bhutto. She had nominated Mr. Asif Ali Zardari as the Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party. (There was no indication of any sort of elections in the party) Immediately Mr. Zardari changed the name of his children and added “Bhutto” as the middle name of his children. He nominated his nineteen years old son as the chairman of the party. A young student who can not contest any election for next six years and can not become the Prime Minister of Pakistan for next sixteen years. This is the democracy for which “The Daughter of the East” embraced martyrdom! Mr. Asif Ali Zardari was living a quite life in self exile. In matter of few hours he became the decision maker of Pakistan. What a misfortune for the people of Pakistan, Mr. ten percent became Mr. hundred percent!

Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and his brother Mian Muhammad Shabaz Sharif took over the largest populated province of Punjab. I am waiting when they change the name of “Allamah Iqbal International Airport Lahore”? If they do change the name of Lahore Airport, I would suggest they should rename it, “Mian Sharif International Airport”.

In my humble onion democracy is not a commodity that can prevail in Pakistan, or for that matter in any Islamic country. People who demand or advocate democracy in Pakistan, they will have to rewrite the history of Islamic way of governance. I have no hesitation in stating that the frame of mind of the people of Pakistan is certainly not democratic, though they hide their own dictatorship when they go through the process of election.

In the end I would like to express my views on the President ship of General (Retired) Pervez Musharaf. It must not be forgotten that his Presidency is absolutely important for the so-called democracy in Pakistan. He is the common enemy of the democracy lovers. The day he leaves the Office of the President, all political parties will fight among themselves as bitter enemies do. We have seen this phenomena in past and we shall see it in future.

I have narrated my point of view on many topic in this article, people may agree with it or may not. Yet this what I have experienced in last forty years and I am expecting to see it yet again.

18th January 2008

Death of Ms. Baynazir Bhutto.

CNI. Gujranwala. 27th December 2007 will be remembered as a very sad day in the history of Pakistan. On this fateful day, Ms. Baynazir Bhutto, a high profile politician and Chairperson of Pakistan People’s Party was killed in a “suicide bomb attack” out side historic Liaqat Park, Rawalpindi, where the first Prime Minister of Pakistan was assassinated on 16th October 1951. The un-timely death of Ms. Baynazir Bhutto is a great tragedy. The death of Ms. Baynazir Bhutto is a great lose to Pakistan. This cowardly act is deplorable and must be condemned and the people and person behind this heinous crime must be brought to justice. Ms. Baynazir Bhutto was a leader of highest stature, she was a gifted lady and most popular political leader, who returned from self exile only in October 2007. I never agreed with the political doctrine of Ms. Baynazir Bhutto and never supported the Pakistan People’s Party, especially when Mr. Z. A. Bhutto nationalized all Christian educational institutions in August 1972. Yet the un-timely death of Ms. Baynazir Bhutto has saddened me along with hundreds of thousands people in Pakistan and around the world. I was shocked when I heard that Ms. Baynazir Bhutto has been killed. What followed the death of Ms. Baynazir Bhutto was another blow to the Pakistan’s economy. I don’t need to narrate what happened in Karachi and all over the Province of Sindh and some parts of Punjab, yet I have no hesitation is saying that the enemies of Pakistan achieve their objective to destabilize Pakistan’s economy by sacrificing a couple of men, reportedly three bullets and some explosive. Whereas Pakistan’s economy suffered a lose of million of dollars in only twenty four hours. The life in   Pakistan was paralyzed for four days. The people of Pakistan were forced to stay home due to riots and closure of all gas stations. And finally the election scheduled for 8th January had to be postponed till 18th February 2008. After Ms. Baynazir Bhutto the vacuum of leadership in Pakistan People’s Party may never be filled, even by her own son, Ballawal Zardari, who changed his name and added Ballawal Bhutto Zardari.

Every one knows that Ms. Baynazir Bhutto and thirty innocent people have lost their live in this heinous crime of “Suicide Bomb Attack”, yet no one is sure who is the master mind behind such heinous and cowardly act of terrorism. Or the people in general and at the helms of affaires know these people, yet they are hesitant to disclose their identity. Could it be “Al-Qaida”, the local Talibans or the “Extra Extremist Islamic Theocracy? Or there could be some other people involved who are always trying to harm Pakistan and to destabilize Pakistan. I would not rule out the possibility of external hands in the assassination of Ms. Baynazir Bhutto. Let us see the ground realities.

Pakistan has always been attacked from its “Eastern Boarders”. After Pakistan became a nuclear power or state, an all out attack on Pakistan from Eastern side is too risky. If Pakistan is attacked from the East, it could result a total disaster not only for Pakistan and India but for the whole region. In December 2001 and in year 2002 we witnessed a huge military build up by the Indian army. Yet they had to withdraw to avert a nuclear stand off. Now it is not possible for India to wage a war against Pakistan on the conventional front. Therefore they are attacking Pakistan from its Western Boarders. According to reports, India has seven Consulates in Afghanistan. It the reports are true, one may ask, what are these Consulates doing in Afghanistan? Though Afghanistan has been a life long friend of India, yet there are hardly any trade relations with Afghanistan and there is total absence of tourism between the two countries. These Indian Missions might be involved in terrorist activities in Pakistan, and there is sufficient proof that India has been major supplier of arms, ammunition and financial assistance to so-called “Baluchistan Liberation Army” that was smashed in year 2006. Failing to fuel the fire of insurgency in Baluchistan, India is all out to destroy Pakistan through its own sponsored terrorist activities. This aspect must not be over looked by the Pakistani authorities and international community.

On the other hand, I must say that our political leaders have a strange conception that they are “Immortal”. They think that no bullet, bomb or terrorist can target them or harm them. Ms. Baynazir Bhutto was warned by the government of Pakistan that she is the prime target of terrorists after President Musharraf, yet she ignored the security advice and exposed herself on that fateful evening of 27th December 2007. She was provided adequate security and million of Rupees were spent on her personal security by the government of Pakistan. I ask the high ups of Pakistan People’s Party, why they did not stop Ms. Baynazir Bhutto to expose her from the “sun roof” of the bullet and bombproof vehicle that was provided by the government of Pakistan. All other people travelling with her in the same vehicle were absolutely safe even after the bomb blast! Didn’t she know that she could be attacked while she had no protection out on the road where thousands of people were gathered along with her killer! I am deeply disturbed by the death of Ms. Baynazir Bhutto for which she alone is responsible.

The “New Scotland Yard” team is investigating the death of Ms. Baynazir Bhutto and her husband now the Co-Chairperson of Pakistan People’s Party has demanded an investigation by the United Nation’s investigators, yet one question will always remain unanswered that why Ms. Baynazir Bhutto came out of the “Sun Roof” of the vehicle she was traveling in?

Of all things that happened after 27th December 2007, the strangest thing that I observed is that no one has even mentioned the “Hidden Hand” of “Extra Extremist Islamic Theocracy”, that might be playing in the hands of enemies of Pakistan. With deep sense of grief and sorrow, I can only blame Ms. Baynazir Bhutto for her death due to her own negligence and over confidence that is in-built in our political leaders, unfortunately.

Monday Morning Prayer.

Joy to the World! The Lord is come

 Have a blessed Christmas

Weekly devotion for December 24, 2007 Christmas Eve

First Christmas service

Time:           Midnight

Place:          Fields

Preacher:    Angel of the Lord

Audience:    Shepherds

Massage:

Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. “FOR THERE IS BORN TO YOU THIS DAY IN THE CITY OF DAVID A SAVIOR” WHO IS CHRIST THE LORD.” And this will be the sign to you; you will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”

Choir:  Heavenly Host

Anthem: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men"

Effect of the massage: So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us. And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. And they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this child.

The massage of Christmas is for everyone. He was born in Bethlehem. Bethlehem means house of bread. Jesus is the bread of life. He came in the manger, “because there was no room for them in the inn.” (Luke 2:8-14)

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

These are the saddest words in the Christmas story, “ because there was no room for them in the Inn” Do we have room for Him in our lives, homes and society?

May you enjoy the blessings of the first Christmas

 Atheist’s Holiday

 Mr. Sabir Bashir

In Florida, an atheist became incensed over the preparation of Easter and Passover holidays. He decided to contact his lawyer about the discrimination inflicted on atheists by the constant celebrations afforded to Christians and Jews with all their holidays while atheists had no holiday to celebrate.

The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the long passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel and declared, Case dismissed!' The lawyer immediately stood and objected to the ruling and said, 'Your honor, how can you possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter and many other observances. Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah ...yet my client and all other atheists have no such holiday!

The judge leaned forward in his chair and simply said, 'Obviously your client is too confused to even know about, much less celebrate, his own atheists' holiday!' The lawyer pompously said, 'Your Honor, we are unaware of any such holiday for atheists. Just when might that holiday be, your Honor?'

The judge said, 'Well it comes every year on exactly the same date---April 1st! Since our calendar sets April 1st as 'April Fools Day,' consider that Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God.' Thus, in my opinion, if your client says there is no God, then by scripture, he is a fool, and April 1st is his holiday!

Now, have a good day and get out of my courtroom!!

The Great Deception

In October 2007 a group of Muslim 138 scholars from all over the world including Pakistan circulated a document “A Common Word between You and Us”. The document has been addressed to all the Christian World starting from Pope Banedict XVI to a common Christian. This document puts emphasis on “Neighborly Love” that has been taught by Lord Jesus Christ and they (The Muslim Scholars) claim, is common in Christianity and Islam. This document can be seen on www.acommonword.com .

I am not a “Radical Christian” yet according to my knowledge and experience, the word “Neighborly Love” for a Non-Muslim, does in exist in Islamic ideology. This documents should have been sent to Muslims all over the world in all the languages they understand. Sending this document that has really no meanings for any or all Muslim scholars, small or big, white brown, or black. All they know is to hate and kill all non-Muslims. If 138 Muslim scholars are serious in their recent invitation sent to Christian leadership throughout the world, they must teach their own Muslim brothers and sisters, the “Love” they are talking about. Pakistan is fairly moderate in its dealing with Christian and other non-Muslim neighbor. Even then there are incidences of religion related hate crimes against the Christians and other religious minorities almost every day. We the Christians know the meanings of neighborly love more clearly than Muslims. The Muslim scholars should go to Muslims around the world at grass root level, in their Madrasas (Seminaries) and their mosques. They must preach neighborly love from Mosques and teach this kind of love to common Muslims in their Madrasas (Seminaries). Once they (the Muslims) learn “Neighborly Love” then the Muslim scholars should invite Christians or other religious bodies like Jews, Hindus, Qadianis and all major or minor non-Muslim people in the world and talk about “A Common Word”.

After reading the contents of the “Deceptive Document” titled “A Common Word Between You and US”, I feel that it is an attempt to deceive the Christian world in sugar coated words. This is not the time for Muslim to send “Three Point Message” to Christians that they used to send in early days of Islamic conquest. Then the message used to be, 1. Accept Islam or convert to Islam. 2. If not, then become “Humble Subject” of Muslims and pay “Jazia” (Protection Tax) 3. If the first two offers are not acceptable, then “Let the Sword Decide”.

Today the Muslims are not strong enough to send such messages, therefore they have sent a message of “Love”, a word that Muslims does not believe in. I just want to tell the Christian leadership around the world to be very careful in answering this document or talking to these 138 Muslim scholars. This document has not been prepared because in the hearts and minds of these scholars, LOVE for Christians has erupted all of a sudden. It is an attempt to attack Christian faith under the cover of this so-called “A Common Word Between You and Us”. There is absolutely nothing common Us (the Christians) and Them (the Muslims). I know at least two signatories of this document, i.e. Amb. Aref Kamal Muslim Intellectual, Pakistan and Allamah Justice Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani Vice President, Darul Uloom Karachi, Pakistan. Justice Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani is bitterly against Christianity and has written a number of books against Christian faith. I have written answers to his books in Urdu and they have been printed in The Monthly Kalam-e-Haq, a monthly Urdu publication of Pakistan. In the end, I would advise the Christian leadership not to trust these 138 scholars. In my very early response to this “Document”, I requested these 138 Muslim scholars to “Let Christians build a Church in Saudi Arabia. We can sit in Saudi Arabian Church and sort all the “Common Words”.

Weekly devotion for December 3, 2007

MAY OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST BLESS YOU IN THE SEASON OF ADVENT

In the Christian calendar, Advent is the season observed in the preparation for Christmas.

As we observe Advent, let us think of the mystery of God, which is Jesus Christ. Pay attention to the voice in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord; make straight the highway and every mountain and hill of our pride and selfishness should be brought down. Then the king of kings and the Lord of Lords shall come to abide with us.

Prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert A highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted and every mountain and hill brought low; the crooked places shall be made straight and the rough places smooth. The glory of the Lord shall be revealed.  Isaiah 40:3-5

He is the image of the invisible God. He is before all things, and in  Him all things consist. Colossians 1:15 & 17.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. John 1:1-3

In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying” Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. John 3:1-2

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:

May we understand the knowledge of the mystery of God, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

 Monday Morning Prayer.

Weekly devotion for October 8, 2007

Jesus said, “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth”. (Matthew 5:5)

What is meekness? Where does this meekness originate? How does it manifest itself in the lives of people? What is the secret to this extra –ordinary blessedness? Those who give their lives completely in the hands of God receive this blessing. They are gentle, friendly and selfless. The meek person knows that God is by his side and He will take care of him. Our Lord and savior emphasizes on meekness. Meek will make the difference in this world not the proud.

“The humble He guides in justice, and the humble He teaches His way”. (Psalm 25:9)

“Be completely humble and gentle, be patient, bearing with one another in love”. (Ephesians 4: 2)

“All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time”. (1. Peter 5: 5-6)

“He has shown you, Oman, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you? but to do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God”. (Micah 6:8)

(Micah 6: 8)

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:

Whoever humbles himself like a child is the greatest in the kingdom of Heaven. (Matthew 18:4)

 Blasphemer must die!

Desecration of Christian Faith by Muslim Journalist of Pakistan.

The desecration of Christian Faith by the Islamic Media, (both print and electronic media) has become a daily routine now. The Muslim media men has taken as their birth right to write any derogatory remark on Christian faith. They even don’t spare the Holiness of Lord Jesus Christ, the Holiness of the Holy Spirit and the Holiness of the Apostles of Lord Jesus Christ. Last night a young man called me from Faisalabad and told me the “Heinous” remarks written by a “Columnist” Abdulla Tariq Sohail, who writes a column “Waghairah Waghairah” (Et cactera Et cactera) in The Daily Express Lahore. On 17th September under the same title with sub title, “Kafir Sindhi” (Infidel Sindhi) he wrote a column covering a number of issues in Pakistan. He goes on writing about the “Deal” between Ms. Baynazir Bhutto and President General Pervez  Musharraf. He writes, ”Is there a deal or not, common man could not understand, what happened or what did not happen. But the real news is that the “Deal” has been finalized. The deal is that Ms Baynazir Bhutto has accepted General Musharraf with or without uniform. On 18th October 2007, the date given for her arrival is to give more time to the General, so he can do what he wants to do. To bring Baynazir to this point, “Lord Bush sent his Apostles John Negroponto and Richard Boucher and his “Holy Spirit” Condaleza Rice, who played a key role in this deal. God knows why the “Deal” has become matter of life and death for America------“.

This morning I called the office of the Daily Express in Lahore and spoke to one Abbas Athar, in-charge of Editorial and Column’s Page of the News Paper. I told him this these remarks have hurt the feelings of Christian community, but he said, “Well! It might have been written as a joke”. I reminded him the writing Lord Bush and Apostles and writing Holy Spirit for Ms. Condaliza Rice can not be termed as “jock” by the Christian Community by any means, we have taken these remarks very seriously. This man “Abbas Athar” told be “you don’t understand a joke? Do what ever you can do. On 21st November 2004, English Daily Dawn published a review on DaVinci Code, when I protested, I was asked to go to the court. I took up the matter at the highest level and met the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting. Both ministers assured me that an action will be taken again the News Paper, yet no action was taken. More over no local Christian leader or Bishop stood with me, only Colonel Retired S. K. Tressler and Dr. Raja Nathaniel Gill were with me on this issue.

This is how Pakistani Islamic Print Media insults our Holy Personage and this time they have gone and wrote blasphemous remarks against Lord Jjjesus Christ making Him “Bush” the Holy Apostles and the Holy Spirit! It must be noted that even from Islamic point of view Lord Jesus Christ (Hazrat Isa) and Holy Spirit which they call “Hazrat Jabraiel Alleh Salam”, these remarks constitute “Blasphemy” but no action would be taken against “Blasphemer” Abdullah Tariq Sohail.

Lord Jesus Christ said, “Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto man: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come”. (Matthew 12 : 31-32)

Abdullah Tariq Sohail has committed a great sin of blasphemy against the Holy Ghost, which will not be forgiven in this world and the world to come, he will face death an eternal death. A Christian can therefore kill Abdullah Tariq Sohail, and it would not be a crime or sin. He deserves death penalty and he should be hanged by the Pakistani Authorities as punishment of a blasphemer, and I ask the authorities to give this blasphemer death punishment immediately. If a Christian “Blasphemer” can be put to death, why not a Muslim blasphemer?????

The Dangers of “Interfaith Dialogue”.

This morning I read a news that a “Mega-Mosque” is being built in London by “Tablighi Jamaat”. I watch activities of Islamic Organizations in Europe, Canada and the United States. I personally believe that it is the fundamental human right of very citizen of every country all over the world to practice and preach his/her religion. These days the “Islamic Month of Fasting” of the month of Ramazan or “Ramadan” is being observed throughout the world. At the same time I read the news and see for my self that in Islamic countries, practicing and preaching and observing the feasts and Holy days of other religions is under extreme threat and especially the Christian religion is being targeted in most cruel and threatening way. Recent Korean hostage crisis took two precious Christian lives. What was their crime? They were reportedly doing or trying to do what Muslims are doing freely in the countries that I mentioned in the beginning. Here in Pakistan, the areas that are under the influence of “Radical Muslims”, Christians are given written warnings almost every day to convert to Islam or they will be “blown up”. The stories of persecution of Christians are coming in every day. Pastors are being killed, abducted and harassed every day. Common and poor Christians are living under more dangerous conditions. A pastor had to hide himself only because he conducts Sunday Service and hymns are sung during Sunday worship service. In villages we can not build a church without the permission of local Mullah and Land Lord. And yet the Christian World (If there is any left) is engaged in “Interfaith Dialogue” for ”Interfaith Harmony”. The Christian World and the Christian Leadership is giving in and giving up when it comes to Christian Faith. If a “Mega-Mosque can be build in United Kingdom, why a Mega-Church can not be built in Islamabad, Kabul, Riaz and other capitals of Islamic countries? A native Muslim of United Kingdom has all rights to practice his/her religion in any way they like, why Islamic countries do not allow a Pakistani born Christian who are living in this region for more than one hundred and fifty years, to exercise the same “Right”? There are Thousands of “Islamic Web Sites”, openly abusing Christian faith, the Holy Bible and the Holy Personage of Christianity, yet they have lots of problems when Dr. Robert Morey writes about “Moon God”. The Muslims have all the “Rights” to insult, abuse and ridicule Christianity in most derogatory way? Why the “Interfaith Dialogue and Harmony Activists” can’t stop such insult of Christianity or at least talk on this crucial subject? We hear and our “Interfaith Peace and Harmony Activists” believe that Islam is the “Religion of Peace” yet where is this “Peace”? I have not been able to see it. If killing innocent people is peace, I denounce such peace. If “Intolerance” of other faiths is “Peace” I denounce this kind of one sided “Peace” too. What we see and what history tells us about Islam, we can conveniently observe that “Peace” has never been included in Islamic Ideology. “Peace” has a different meaning in Islam and that is, either “Convert to Islam” or become “humble subjects” of Islamic state or be ready to face the “Sword of Islam” (in present time Bullets and bombs of Islam). There is no freedom of religion and the freedom that we have as Pakistani citizens is fading away fast. The tolerance for Christians has almost exhausted. The hatred for Christians is on rise and I will not be surprised if in my life time Christianity is “Banned” in Pakistan. (In many Islamic countries Christianity is officially banned like Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan).

When of “Interfaith Dialogue” and “Interfaith Peace and harmony” activists hold talks or “Dialogue” with Muslims, do ask them what concessions are they ready to give to Christians in their country of origin? Would they allow “Mega Churches” or even small churches in their country of origin? Would they give freedom to the people of other faiths to speak openly to “Refute” the “Rubbish” of Islamic scholars especially against “Christianity”? When would Muslim Peace activists start teaching their fellow Muslims to have the courage to face other religions especially Christianity? I bet my life, they would not give any thing that I have requested our Christian “Peace Activists” to demand!

The Muslims must be made to understand that what they think is the birth right for them, are they willing to give such rights to the people of other faiths especially Christianity? If they claim that Islam is a “Religion of Peace” then they must demonstrate it! It is about time they too acknowledge the importance of “Peace” and teach their fellow Muslims that mankind needs a  safer world and equal rights must be given to all human beings. They must understand that the World does not belong to them (Muslims) alone. If they want to live in peace they must allow others to live the same way in peace. If Islamic world agrees on the principals of “”Live and let Live”, only then the “Interfaith Dialogue” and “Interfaith Peace and Harmony” will be possible, otherwise “Interfaith Dialogue, Peace and Harmony” is extremely dangerous for “World Peace”.

30-08-2007

THE ELECTION OF THE BISHOP OF MULTAN DIOCESE, CHURCH OF PAKISTAN , WHICH COULD NOT BE HELD.

The CoP News Service (Team) was in retreat for quite some time though we had plenty of news to share both good and those which sadden us. All these are for our reflections and prayers for the  he issues facing the church.

We have been asked by many friends to write on the election of Multan Diocese, which was scheduled to be held on 16th of August 2007 by Bishop Alexander John Malik being Moderator of the Church of Pakistan.

All was set to hold the election according to the new system/procedure which we had termed as illegal because of the illegality of the Synod and vested interests of some of the leaders of the Synod but we were quite in order to see the result of the awareness drive and did not interfere in any way.

According to the new system the Diocesan Council (in this case the Diocesan Council of Multan) were supposed to short list three candidates from the entire list of candidates and the same day the executive committee of the Synod was to act as the electoral college of the Synod whereas the executive committee of the Diocese of Multan was to act as the electoral college of the Diocese.

At the time of fabricating this new system the chief of the new system was confident to manipulate both the houses to install the Bishop of his own choice but had neglected one aspect what if the Diocesan Council did not vote for his candidate to place him among the top three.

When it became clear that he does not grip the Council it was already late as all the members of the Council and those of the executive committee of the Synod had reached Multan on 15th August 2007 .

The chief architect of the new system was lodged in Dubai Palace Hotel along with the Bishops and some dignitaries of his choice. Realizing the flaw in gripping everything he asked the members of the executive committee of the Synod to support him for the postponement of the election until such time that he can harness the situation. As most of the members of the Synod are not used to applying their mind they said yes.

He called all the candidates and made the announcement of postponing the election for the Bishop of Multan. This announcement was immediately condemned by some of the candidates.

The members of the Multan Diocesan Council who were already around took it as an offence and gathered at the hotel and started raising slogans against the chief architect of the new system and the Synod.

He women of Multan Diocese mainly the delegates to the council went to the room of the Moderator Bishop Alexander John Malik in the hotel and wanted to drag him out all the time protesting and saying all sort of things.

Police called for protection.

The honorable moderator called the local police for his protection but they even could not cool down the mob which was difficult to handle including the women. The Bishops Samuel Robert Azriah and Azad Marshall who have greater influence within the Diocese of Multan intervened and took the people away for negotiations. They assured the mob that hey would provide them opportunity to speak to the Moderator.

The Moderator flees in Burqa.

During this time when the mob was talking to the above mentioned Bishops the Moderator fled from the hotel. According to unconfirmed reports he fled in a BURQA. Readers the burqa is a long gown type of dress worn by Muslim women to cover the entire body of including the face in the Muslim world.

Last month if you remember at the incidence of Lal Masjid in Islamabad the leading Muslim clergy of that mosque had tried to escape the police in burqa and was internationally televised.

In this case it is said that the two Bishops helped him get away in burqa and some even say he went as portraying the wife of the Secretary of the Synod who comes from Peshawar in the NWFP Province of Pakistan which is these days hub of the activities of Muslim extremists and even the non-Muslim women also wear burqas.

The next morning some of the left over Bishops including the above mentioned but excluding the big one were given a very tough time by the members of Multan Diocese as they are not sure of their future.

Readers what do you say about this?

We were not reporting on the issue although we know first hand about the happenings but on the requests of our readers we send you this story as we got from the press and reported by persons present on site.

4th July 2007

Life on Line.

I read the four letters to the editor and I am glade that Mr. Irfan has asked me to silent Dr. Zakir Abdul Karim Naik, the director of Islamic Research Foundation. I have written a number of answers to Dr. Zakir Naik, yet he has never responded. May be he does not want to meet the same fate that Sheikh Ahmad Deedat met at the hands of then Major Ttimotheus Nnasir, in Sialkot Pakistan on 7th October 1987.

As far as I have noted, Dr. Zakir Naik have the same arguments against Christianity that Late Deedat had. He is trying to “Scratch” verses of Holy Bible and Koran to prove his point and so far he has miserably failed to do that. I call Dr. Zakir Naik a “Tongue Twister” and nothing more. I can take him on any time when he is ready even in Pakistan.

I do not defend my faith because I know that my God is “The God”, my Book the Holy Bible is “The Book” and my Faith the Christian Faith is “The Faith”. Rest all is “Mirage”.

If and when I have a debate with Dr. Zakir Naik, no body will see me playing of “Back Foot”. Unfortunately most of our scholars play on “Back Foot” and instead of attacking the opponent, they try to defend Christian Faith, that does not need any defense. Christian Faith in complete and perfect faith and I don’t care what others say about their faiths, that they are still trying to redefine. I Play on “Front Foot” and so far I have silenced many critics of the Holy Bible and Christian Faith.

Dear Mr. Irfan, I am looking forward to meet Dr. Zakir Naik. The day we come face to face, by the Grace of my God Dr. Zakir Naik will be a Christian preacher. It is my challenge.

Dear Mr. Asif, I understand your concern, yet my life is on line since long. The day and the way I will die is well known to my savior. My job is to preach and speak Biblical Truth, the “Only Truth”. I know I am a targeted person, yet no one can harm me as long as the Lord is with me. I don’t think Mr. Ifran is a Muslim nor he is naïve Christian. He has asked me to do a service for my Christian brothers and sisters, and I shall do it. Please encourage such people who feel pain when some “Tongue Twister” attacks his faith in most derogatory way. How ever I appreciate your concern for me. Thank you very much.

Dear Mr. Asif, you are right to state that Dr. Zakir Naik is a coward who is running away from debating with Sam Shamoun, Robert Morey and Ali Sina for many years. You are right in stating that if Dr. Zakir Naik has any decency left in him, he should either debate any of these gentlemen or shut his mouth from criticizing Christianity. Dr. Zakir Naik is always trying to run away when a straight question is asked about his faith. Dr. Zakir Naik never had any “decency” like Sheikh Ahmad Deedat. His only object is to criticize Christianity, insult our faith, insult the Holy Bible and to sell his “Useless” CDs and books.

Dear Mr. Nisar, I don’t know you too. But I believe that in your opinion, Dr. Zakir Naik is “Top Islamic Scholar” that you have today. Let me tell you Sir, memorizing books does not make an man scholar, you need to have understanding of the books which Dr. Zakir Naik lacks. You can call him a good “Haffiz” but not a scholar. In all my honest I challenge Dr. Zakir Naik that the day he faces me, I shall my self “Baptize Him”. This my “CHALLENGE that I gave to Sheikh Ahmad Deedat on 7th October 1987 at Sialkot Pakistan, he ran away. So will Dr. Zakir Naik!!!

Soon I am going to send a formal invitation to Dr. Zakir Nnaik to come to Pakistan. I shall arrange his “Security” after he “Reverts” to Christianity!!

3rd July 2007

Dear Mr. Samuel George,

You wrote and I quote and answer,

“I would like to support Mr. Michael who reacts in the right direction, no doubt we have lot of issue with Muslims fundamental, where Christians are 1% of population, on which 80% percent don’t have the minimum level in education”.

With this situation that you have described, you still expect that a handful of  Bishops and Pastors have a “magic rod” to raise the minimum level of education? No Sir, we don’t have one.

“Mr. Michael mentioned in his mail that we can develop our youngster for their better future, but to do this, our Ministers and higher priests have to play an important role here”.

Why Ministers and Higher Priests? Why not Doctors, Lawyers, Educationists and other “Elite Segment” of Christian society in Pakistan and abroad?

“So far what I saw and read in the Newspapers, if Christian Ministers want to fulfill their requirement by government they have to go for the hunger strike. Sorry to say but for me sound like handicap Politician who cannot use their brain in the right direction”.

Please don’t undermine Pakistani leadership. If the Christian leadership, I mean Bishop and Pastors ever fails, the Christians in Pakistan will cease to exist. The statement I made, I own it. I would request you to use your brain for once and stop targeting Christian Religious Leadership.

“Here I agree with Mr. Michael, Pastors and Bishops are growing like mushrooms after rain, no idea which degree they are holding to call themselves Pastor or Bishop. I acknowledge Bishop Community doesn’t have good understanding between them, either no rule which they have to follow and bond with”.

Sir, what problem does it create for you if Pastors and Bishops are growing like Mushrooms after rain? Do you have to pay for every Pastor or Bishop that “grows like mushroom”. I see critics of Pastors and Bishops growing faster than mushrooms rather “rain bugs” having nothing to do, start finding faults in Pakistani Christian  Religious leadership. We are better educated and have better understanding of the situation in Pakistan. We know the sanctity of our degree and know our work that includes dealing with people who have no respect for others. The Bishop Community has better understanding among themselves. However one can not rule out difference of opinion on a particular issue. The Bishops certainly follow the rules that you might not be knowing.

“Higher Priests & Bishops are like a KING, who creates their own rules and regulation. Example existing in Lahore Mr. Alexander”.

No, bishops don’t lives like kings, yet they are authorized by the constitution of their respective churches to abrogate, make and promulgate new rules and regulations. As far as Bishop Alexander John Malik is concerned, he made mistakes (as we all do) and he kept silent. Do you want some one to kill him? Are we not commanded to forgive? Are we all angels? Have we never made any mistake, small or big? I wrote against Bishop Malik, yet I am not his enemy. We might be making bigger mistakes and committing bigger sins than Bishop Alexander John Malik. Yet we don’t look at our own lives and try to correct our selves.

“This is the reason every Pastor want to open his own church and NGOs are growing, this is the reason Priest from Karachi, go to Lahore to sign his new stay order to stay in the same church where he & his grand children are staying from the last 16 years”.

I don’t think it is a crime that the family of a Priest stays more than 16 years in the same pastor house, if the son of pastor or grandson of that pastor is serving the congregation. I have no problem with a Pastor building a church through his own efforts and having an NGO at the same time. What ever he is doing, yet he is serving the people. The real problem is that our people living abroad can not see a pastor’s prosperity. If other Christian people can make an NGO, what stops a Pastor from making an NGO?

“As a Bishop could you please answer us”?

Q. Why Priest from different known Protestant Churches is not following their staying order which terminate every five years time? And they have to be transferred to other churches?

A. The Protestant Churches have their own way of working. If a Pastor stays more than Five years in a church (Congregation) that should be not a matter of concern to any one. Let us decide who will stay where and for how long.

Q. Why Bishops from other cities have authority to extend their staying order?

A. We don’t have “City Bishops”. There are different Diocese in the jurisdiction of a Bishop and any Bishop having his headquarter in a different city can use his ecclesiastical authority of a Pastor in any city under his jurisdiction. Bishop of Lahore, Bishop Alexander John Malik who lives in Lahore has jurisdiction in Narowal and Rawalpindi. You are no body to challenge the Ecclesiastical Authority of any Bishop in Pakistan.

Q. How come Pastor in Karachi become Bishop in one night? And no action was taken from the Bishops Union?

A. Kindly name the Pastor who became Bishop in “One Night”. I may be able to give you a better and detailed answer. However again this is our issue and not your.

Q. Why Bishops are taking more interest in the Christian property that the Christian community?

A. Please let me know which property and which Bishop? I know some church properties have been sold, yet can a Bishop sell any property all by himself? People with vested interests do gain from such sales and I know the “Loins Share” goes to the Bishop. However what ever the case may be I strongly condemn it.

Q. Why Christian property is not protected?

A. As far as I know the Christian properties are safe and well protected. However it these properties are sold, I again condemn it.

Q. Why there is million of Rupees open cases in the Graveyard (Karachi Gora Kabaristan)?

A. I would rather wait for the verdict of the courts of Pakistan on this case. I personally condemn such cases and the people who want to sell the “Karachi “Gora Qaberistan” or the Graveyard.

Q. Why Bishop is allowed to make his daughter marriage with a Muslim man in the church and no action was taken from the other Bishops Union if it’s existing in one unity.

A. This issue has been discussed at length. There has been lot of protest from Bishops and common Christians on this particular issue. But I really want to know the feelings of the father who’s daughter makes a wrong decision and the father has to endorse it. Bishop Malik is not the only father who went through this tragedy, there are hundreds of fathers who go through this agony. Please ask a father in Canada who’s daughter has married a Muslim. That father is a living dead person. My be Bishop Malik was to busy looking after his church and could not give time to his family. I am not condoning the mistake of Bishop Malik, but just telling you every family has its own serious problem. One is caught and the other get away. We must learn to forgive the one who is caught and pray for those who get away.

Dear Bishop, yes we all like to support our brothers & sisters in Pakistan, but again, who can we trust as our respecter are corrupted?

Sir, I am a Bishop therefore you should not trust me. Wait for the angels from heavens. You want to help your Christian brothers and sisters in Pakistan? You have to trust some one or at least trust God. If some Bishop cheats you he will not be cheating you he will be cheating Lord God. Let God decide his fate. You do your duty, if you are serious.

I can only request that please make a system that your own people will trust you in the name of God, otherwise please leave the seat on which you are seating for those who deserve it.

Dear Sir, we have a system and the help that is received from abroad does reach the poor Christian. But I have no means and measures to tell you who is honest and who is not. I have no authority to tell any one to leave his “seat”. May be you can trust me, but I am a Bishop too.

May I suggest, make an organization, get it registered in USA and Canada. Chose a Church in Pakistan that is registered. Send them the help and demand an “Audit Report” from a Charted Accountant duly registered with the government of Pakistan. If your help does not reach the right place you can always seek help from the government of Pakistan through its Embassy or High Commission.

Hope I have answered your question!!!

May the Lord bless you all.

Bishop Timotheus Nasir.

3rd July 2007

Dear Mr. R. Michael & Mr. Samuel George

Christian greetings from Pakistan.

Despite having evidence, I am nobody to provide evidence against any one. What ever some one is doing is answerable to Lord Jesus Christ. You raised a question regarding Pakistani Christian Ministers, Higher Priests and Bishops and it was my moral duty to respond in all honesty and to the best of my knowledge.

In year 2006, Mullahs filed a “Law Suit” against me in Karachi. I requested all “Human Right Activists” that I knew in Pakistan for help. No one came forward. Why? They knew I was not going to be of any use to them on international level for collecting funds. You can find these organizations on Internet and then make an inquiry your self.

During October 2006, Lahore Police arrested a Christian young man for no reason and took a large amount to release him. I located the young Christian and got the money back from Police. Have you ever heard that Police pays back the money they take as bribe?

There is a long list of people like me who are either Higher Priests or Bishops who constantly help their Christian brothers and sisters, yet we can not disclose how we do it. If we try to project our work, we will not be able to continue helping our persecuted Christian brothers and sisters in Pakistan.

Dear Sirs, More authority does not mean absolute authority. In Pakistan the orders of Supreme Court is not given any importance by the local Police and you are talking about few Bishops.

I agree that these days Pakistani Pastors are growing fast and they all belong to the Charismatic Organizations. Any one who writes “Pastor” before his name falls into that category. A trained Pastor writes “Reverend” abbreviated “Rev”. Then there are “Sadhus” who travel from village to village with no education but some “Tricks” of casting out demons and our people are fooled despite being warned. Then we have “Peers” and Christian “Shahs” and so on. There is no theological university in Pakistan yet we have well reputed Theological Seminaries in Pakistan and the real Priests go through at least three years intensive training in these institutions. As far as the politicians are concerned, they spend huge amount of money to get elected or selected. No Christian Organizations spends a penny on their elections or selection, therefore at least I can not ask a Christian MNA or MPA what they are doing.

Sir, I mentioned 150 Million Pakistanis in American Continent and in Europe, that this figure was assumed from Pakistan Christian Council. The information provided to me by the government of Pakistan, we are only 2 million plus in Pakistan. If I may assume that there are one million Christians in American Continent and Europe, yet that is a huge number to help Pakistani Christians. Yet you do not trust the Clergy? I have no further suggestion to make. We are trying our best without your help. Let us do our work and please if you can not support Christians in Pakistan, you have no right to criticize the Clergy of Pakistan.

Dear Mr. Michael and Mr. Samuel George, please visit me next time you visit Pakistan. I may be able to explain better face to face. Writing and criticizing on internet is easier than facing the facts in a country like Pakistan. You have too many questions and that can be only answered if you visit me next time you come to Pakistan. Please don’t ask how to help poor Christians in Pakistan, You know it! You have asked me to name an honest Bishop, Unfortunately I can not name a bishop who is an angel! You must come out of your “Preoccupation” and start trusting the Clergy of Pakistan. If you don’t trust us, we don’t need your help and tears for Pakistani Christians.

You wrote “I am personally looking forward to hear from you & will be happy to help Christian community as much as possible”.

Sirs, I am a Bishop. And you do not trust Bishops, what name should I give? Sorry Sir, I can’t help you with your present frame of mind. The comments of Mr. Samuel George are highly deplorable and objectionable. I strongly condemn his remarks of Pakistani Christian leadership and demand apology from Mr. Samuel George. He must learn to respect the people he will certainly need some day.

Prayerfully Yours,

Bishop Timotheus Nasir.

Islamic Re Search Foundation!

I have written “Islamic Re Search Foundation” because every now and then some one starts “Re Searching” Islam according to his own understanding of Islam. However what the mode of “Re Search” of Islam may be, it is absolutely important for such people to criticize Christian Faith and the Holy Bible without which their job remains unfinished. It looks that the Islamic Research Foundation is trying to “Re Define” Islam.

In recent years “The Islamic Research Foundation in Mumbai, India” and its seventy “so-called” have been busy twenty four hours a day to prove that their faith is “The Faith” and Christianity is nothing more than collection of prophecies of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U. H) and yet they have failed to give one single argument to prove their claim. Their leader Dr. Zakir Abdul Karim Naik gives a most illogical argument and thinks he has won the world. I knew Dr. Zakir Naik’s “Gurru” Sheikh Ahmad Deedat from South Africa and on 7th October 1987, he failed to give any answer to my questions on Islam. The Islamists have taken full advantage of modern technology and through their web sites and Television Channels, they are once again “Re Searching” Islam according to modern day needs. These days Dr. Zakir Naik is unsuccessfully trying to prove that the Holy Koran is a “Science Text Book”. However this is not the topic of this article. The topic is “little on no knowledge” of scholars of IRF. For the purpose of insulting the Holy Bible, they pick up a verse or a statement of the Holy Bible and without having any understanding of these verses, they talk in most derogatory manner against the Holy Bible. They forget that the Holy Bible is not a common book like their Books, it is a “Path of Spirituality” that leads to eternal life. Islam on the other hand lacks spirituality and presents worldly aspect of every thing even the life after death from humanistic point of view.

Islamic Research Foundation’s television channel, the “Peace T.V” has employed people to ridicule Christian Faith. On 13th June 2007, one of the “Schooler” (Scholar) Ather Khan was bragging about his knowledge while talking on fundamentals of Christian Faith. He tried to take on the “Inherited Sin” of the man kind after disobeying God in the Garden of Eden. He used words like “all Bakwas” means all rubbish.

Trying to prove that Islam is a complete way of life, he criticized the Holy Bible on topic on “Inherited Sin”, quoting the Book of Genesis Chapter 2 and 3.

In the Holy Bible it is written, “And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil”. (Genesis 2: 9) Thereafter it is written, “And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die”. (Genesis 2:16 & 17)

Mr. Ather Khan gave a Devilish explanation of these verses when he further quotes Chapter 3 of the Book of Genesis.

He said that God told Adam and Eve that if you eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall surely die. The Serpent came to Eve and made her eat from the “tree of knowledge of good and evil” Adam and Eve did not die. He puts forward a question, “Did God tell the truth or Devil or Serpent? Mr. Ather Khan himself answered his question shamelessly, “the Serpent”! God lied to Adam that the day you eat the forbidden fruit you shall surely die. According to Mr. Ather Khan, Adam and Eve did not die after eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, they did not die and lived 930 years after their disobedience. So according to Muslim Scholar the Serpent told the truth and God lied. Would a sane person believe that? Absolutely not!

The ancient problem with Muslim scholars is that what all they understand or are able to understand is from worldly and humanistic point of view and what the Holy Bible tells us is from Spiritual point of view. The “Worldly People” like “Peace T. V. Team”, failed to understand the meaning of “Death” that God meant.

We don’t know when Adam was created and after Adam’s creation when Eve was created. (I would be grateful if any Muslim scholar tells me the date of birth of Adam and Eve respectively). What was the age of Adam when Eve was created? And How long did they live in Garden of Eden? It is not known. If I claim that is was a very lengthy period of time when Adam and Eve lived in the Fellowship of Lord God and in total comfort no one can challenge my claim.   Had they not disobeyed God they might have been living in Garden of Eden even today. More over we must understand what Garden of Eden is? As I understand, it was a place where mankind or Adam and Eve lived in God’s Very Presence, Fellowship and Comfort. They could communicate with God freely and face to face and God was with them and visited and spoke to them. After Adam and Eve disobeyed God, they lost the fellowship of Lord God immediately and they came to know that they are they are naked. When they got the knowledge of good and evil, they knew that they have done an evil act. This was their “Spiritual Death”. They lost what they had in fellowship of God. They could not face their Creator so they tried to hide themselves and cover their “shame of guilt” with temporary things like leaves as it is mentioned the Holy Bible. It is a fact that when we commit a sin and we know that we have committed a sin, we are ashamed of facing any one especially against whom we commit the crime or sin. We try to hide our guilt with lame excuses and temporary means knowing that we shall not be able to hide our guilt from human beings and here in the Holy Bible, mankind has committed sin against the Holy One, the Lord God, the Creator, the Omni Potent, Omni Present, Self Sustaining and Self Existent God, and try to hide our guilt with “withering leaves or means” (as the Muslim scholars do). They had disobeyed God so they could not face Him as they used to do earlier. It is written, “And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons”. (Genesis 3: 7) Lord God knew what Adam and Eve have done, therefore He calls them, and it is written, “And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? (Genesis 3: 9) (Lord God was not looking here and there as Mr. Ather claims in his foolishness). Lord God already knew that the sin of disobedience has been committed. It was not a “Call” from God to know where Adam and Eve were, it was an “Explanation” demanded by God, Where art Thou? God was not looking for Adam and Eve in bushes and behind the trees, He was asking “What have you done”? Lord God was not walking as narrated by Mr. Ather Khan, He came to judge Adam and Eve who had gone far far away from Him. Adam replied to God that they hid themselves as they were naked. God wanted to hear from the mouth of Adam that he has sinned. Lord God further questions them, “And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat”? It is written “Then Lord God asked Adam , “Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat”? Adam and Eve had a chance to repent. That is why Lord God asked them a direct question, “Have thou disobey my commandment”? Adam instead of admitting his sin, he shifted the guilt on Eve. (As though Adam was totally innocent) Likewise Eve accused Serpent. (Again telling Lord God that she was absolutely innocent) Neither Adam nor Eve admitted their sin. Adam held Eve responsible for his sin and Eve held Serpent responsible for her sin. Both had sinned and no one repented therefore they were deprived of the right to live in presence of God and they had to leave the place of comfort, they lost the close relation with Lord God and they lost the Fellowship” with Lord God. Adam and Eve were Spiritually dead after their sin against the Lord God. This was the death that Lord God warned Adam of. Not the bodily death but spiritual death. If God meant bodily death, he would have killed both Adam and Eve and would have created another couple. Was it impossible for God to create another Adam and Eve? Therefore Lord God did not lie, Mr. Ather Khan from Islamic Research Foundation lied and gave blasphemous statement for All Mighty God. I wonder how would he escape the wrath of God?

Note here, Lord God does not ask the Serpent any explanation, he punishes the Serpent before he punishes Adam and Eve. He then casts “Curse” upon the Serpent. Lord God also tells for the first time that “Seed of Woman” (Lord Jesus Christ) will destroy the Serpent. It is written, “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. (Genesis 3: 15)

Lord God punishes the Woman and decreed, “Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee”. (Genesis 3:16) This was the least punishment that God gave to woman for becoming the tool of the Devil and giving the forbidden fruit to her husband.

Punishment of Adam was even more sever. God says to Adam, “And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field” (Genesis 3: 17-18).

Physical Death came after the disobedience of Lord God. Yet it was not immediate death. Adam lived 930 years thereafter and finally died as Lord God had said and it is written, “In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return”. (Genesis 3: 19). Adam died physically 930 years latter, yet Spiritually he died much earlier.

By his sin, Adam brought physical and spiritual death upon himself and his generations to follow till the end of time. Yet Lord God gave a very glaring Hope to Adam and Eve and that is the advent of Lord Jesus Christ. Lord God says, “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. (Genesis 3: 15). As said earlier, Lord Jesus Christ is the “Seed of Woman” who has and will finally “Bruise the head of Devil”. It is written, “And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ”. (Matthew 1: 16). Now let me elaborate. Lord Jesus Christ was son of Mary who was not yet wife of Joseph. Lord Jesus Christ was “Seed of Woman”. Who Bruised the head of Serpent and the Serpent tried to “bruise his heel”. Speaking from purely medical point of view, if a serpent bits on the limbs of a human being, there is every chance that the snake bitten person will survive. If the snake bits on any other part of the body, it is almost impossible to save the victim. It is proven fact that if snake bite on limbs, there is every chance of survival. But if some one’s head is smashed, that means sure death. The Devil can Bruise the heel of the people who have faith in Lord Jesus Christ but they have every chance to live. The Islamic Research people would not let go any chance to Bruise the Christians, yet Christians live. Lord Jesus Christ bruises the head of all non believers, (IRF People) or Serpent and they would surely die. (I can see death of their faces already). This death is not the physical death but spiritual death which is also the eternal death. The destination of every one who does not believe and have faith in Lord Jesus Christ is “Eternal Death”.

I state this fact with certainty that the “Islamic Research Foundation” is already “Spiritually Dead”. They are still under the “Inherited Sin” while we the Christian believers are under the Grace of God through Lord Jesus Christ.

Here I feel necessary to narrate “Islamic concept of inherited sin”. We learn from Islamic traditions that Devil touches every new born child and make him cry, then some one gives “Adhan or Azan” (Islamic Call of Worship) in the ear of the new born child to keep the Devil away from the infant. There was only one infant  and one woman whom Devil dare not touch and that infant is Lord Jesus Christ and woman was Holy Mary mother of our Lord.

According to Sahi Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 55, Number 641: Narrated Said bin Al-Musaiyab:

Abu Huraira said, "I heard Allah's Apostle saying, 'There is none born among the off-spring of Adam, but Satan touches it. A child therefore, cries loudly at the time of birth because of the touch of Satan, except Mary and her child." Then Abu Huraira recited: "And I seek refuge with You for her and for her offspring from the outcast Satan" (3.36)

Therefore I invite all the members of “Islamic Research Foundation” to stop “Re Searching” a doctrine that necessitates research after research and yet it fails to find any thing that ensures re-establishment of your fellowship with God. Repent and come to Lord Jesus Christ, you shall not be under “Inherited Sin” any more. “Satan will not touch you or your new born children”, you will be under the Grace. You are too busy in “Scratching” verse after verse, yet you fail to yield find any  worthwhile result.

I invite you all to “Revert” to Christianity so you can be saved from the wrath of God on the Day of Judgment. Come accept Christ before it is too late.

“Hope I have made my point clear”!

Bishop Timotheus Nasir

3rd May 2007

Dear Mr. R. Michael,

Greetings from Pakistan.

I read your letter to the editor with great interest. You have asked a number of questions to the Pakistani Christian Ministers, higher Priests and Bishops of Pakistan in one particular case of “Cheena Bibi.

Let me tell you ladies and gentlemen, the things in Pakistan have changed ever since you left Pakistan. Yet we try to do our job to the best of our ability. Cheena Bibi or any one who suffers at the hands of Muslim majority are not left alone. The local Pastor tries to do what he can in his personal capacity. He even goes to the Police authorities. The Bishops take up the matter even with the President of Pakistan. When we are in middle of our efforts, some NGO or Human Right Group jumps into the matters and for their vested interests, make it an international issue and collect money that is hardly ever reaches the victim. On 25th December 2002, a number of Christian children, men and women were killed and injured in terrorist attach of a church. No Human Right Group, NGO or Personal ministry people came to the hospital here in Gujranwala. They ran to the Church in Chianwali District Sialkot, to photograph the blood of Christian men women and children. These photographs and videos were made to with sole purpose to export the Christian blood on the walls of the church. It is strange, while the church leadership was arranging blood and providing medical care to the victims, the so called “Social Organizations” were “Cashing” the Christian blood. Few months latter one of the victims met me and told me that “Human Rights Organizations” and the NGOs have forsaken them. Which prompted me to write an article in Urdu, “Christian Blood on Sale”. Let me also remind our Christian brothers and sisters that a ship load of relief goods for people of Shanti Nagar was sold in open sea for twenty million Rupees by the NGOs in March 1997.

The Bishops and Pastors are not trained to give legal aid to the victims of religious discrimination and persecution. We get a Theological Degree and not a Law degree. Even then we do our best to provide legal aid to all the victims. Yet what can we do when the victims are trapped by the “Social and Welfare” people. We can provide them legal aid but we are unable to provide them Justice that they deserve. We must not forget that Bishop John Joseph was killed in May 2007 trying to provide legal aid and justice to Yousaf Masih. The “Bishops” of Pakistan are targeted by all our brothers and sisters, (here I am not talking of Bishops of Brief Case churches) yet they remain silent. I my self have helped a lot of people yet I can not speak how did I help and saved a number of Christians from the wrath of Muslims in Pakistan. The Roman Catholic Bishops, the Bishops of Church of Pakistan and the leadership of Presbyterian Church of Pakistan are not that ignorant as it is depicted by you Sir. We have our own way of working and we work silently but reap good results. We use or church resources, personal resources and help our people through proper channel.

Here I ask a question to all our Christian brothers and sister living abroad, do you care for poor Pakistani Christians like Cheena Bibi? Every time some thing happened, only Christian Clergy is blamed for so called ignorance for the victim, why no asks the “Elite” class in Pakistan, the Doctors, Lawyers, and other senior Christian military officers. I know a number of Medical Doctors in United States, high profile people and “High ups” in United States, Canada and Europe and even in Pakistan. Why every one forgets that they too have some responsibility towards their Christian Pakistani brothers and sisters. I read there are 150 Million Pakistanis in American Continent and Europe. Why can’t they help only 2 million Christians in Pakistan. (This is the latest figures provided to me by the government of Pakistan very recently)

Dear Mr. R. Michael, in all honest and in good will, I invite you to Pakistan. Please come and see for yourself what is happening in Pakistan. We have some hope as long as General Musharraf is at the helm of affairs in Pakistan. We have no idea what will happen to Christians after he is gone. Sir I wish you or any other critic of Christian Clergy had ever helped or thought of helping your poor brothers and sisters in Pakistan. You have passed on the baby to the Christian Ministers, Higher Priests and Bishops and now you can rest for a long period of time. You have done your duty by passing on the problems on us. I appreciate your concern for “Helpless” Christians, yet I would request the readers to show some concern for the Pakistani Christian Ministers, the Higher Priests and the Bishops who prefer to stay in Pakistan for common poor Christian.

Prayerfully Yours,

Bishop Timotheus Nasir

DR. STEPHEN GILL COMMENDS  MAJOR  NASIR:

President Pervez Musharraf deserves credits, he says

I read the article of Major Timotheus Nasir “Take the Beam Out of Your Eyes”  with deep curiosity, because he discusses a social and political cancer in a way that is logical and to the point. His accurate portrait of the persistent malady of corruption at courts of Pakistan is eye-opening. Even Ms. Benazir Bhutto once said that  blasphemy laws cannot work in Pakistan because any person can buy a false witness for even ten rupees.

President Pervez Musharraf has introduced democracy into a country that has not tasted it in real sense since its formation in 1947. He has been trying  to introduce  reforms at various levels, but certain elements  do  not let him introduce anything more worthwhile. He is now fighting against terrorism and unruly atmosphere  in spite of the dangers he faces. He himself has been a target of these enemies of peace.

The citizens of Pakistan should identify first the enemies who are relentlessly attempting to divide the already divided nation into ethnic, religious, linguistic, geographical and other fragments. Those who divide further the already divided nation are the real enemies of peace and prosperity. At this time when the world is thinking of establishing colonies in far-off planets, these enemies of peace are dragging the nation into the middle ages. When the world is talking about globalization, these enemies of unity are disuniting the nation. They are displaying the vain hope of forcing the peaceful Christian minority of Charsada, Pakistan, to become Muslim within weeks.  Christian nurses in Islamabad have been implicated in a false charge of blasphemy. Everyday there is news about brutal attacks and arrests of Christians in  fabricated blasphemy cases. There are brutal attacks on the places of worship of minority sects within Islam  The people who are discovering new devices  to terrorize minorities are the real enemies of peace,  prosperity and unity because they are dividing the already divided nation.

Prosperity and peace go together. President Pervez Musharraf is doing his best to make Pakistan a safe country to bring more prosperity to a country where the bears of bloodshed are roaming in different shapes. He deserves credits for reforms. There  is no doubt he is slow in introducing reforms, but he is helpless because of the  unhealthy  climate.

30th May 2007

Take the beam out of your eyes!

CNI Gujranwala. On 26th May 2007, during a Seminar in the Supreme Court of Pakistan, highly derogatory remarks were made against the Pakistan Army, by the Lawyers, in support of the Chief Justice of Pakistan. This Seminar was said to be a usual “Bar Council Meeting or Seminar” that was held in the Conference Hall of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. The Seminar on the “Roll of Judiciary” was absolutely a political meeting chaired by the Chief Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry. It is expected from such an elite group of society to hold their meetings and seminars in a respectable manner. The “Double Graduate” audience are also expected to maintain the sanctity of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. In modern age nothing is hidden from the eye of the Media Camera and the audio system. What I saw on 26th May 2007 that was dreadful picture of immature and rowdy crowd wearing “Black Coats”. If Mr. Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry still maintains the position and office of the Chief Justice of Pakistan, I am sorry to say he failed to maintain “Order” in the seminar which was his first and foremost duty. First of all he covered a distance of five minutes in two hours in his new adopted style of traveling since 13th March 2007. I must remind him that a judge does not come late on such occasions. There was lot of shouting in the Conference Hall of the Supreme Court. It was more of a political gathering rather than gathering of educated people. I would not be wrong if I say that Mr. Iftkhar Muhammad Choudry allowed to turn the Auditorium of Supreme Court into  “Fish Market”. The speeches made by the elite class of Lawyers did not suit their elite status. One of the speaker said, “We shall not only take off the Uniform of Army we shall Peal off their skin”. The focus of entire “Seminar” was degrade, insult and damage the image of Pakistan Army. This “Seminar” by no was a “Judicial Seminar”, it was meant for abusing the Pakistan Army. This attitude of the custodians of Law in my view as a soldier was highly objectionable, deplorable and disgusting for all ranks of Pakistan Army serving or retired.

The highly skilled and experienced lawyer community must remember that Mr. Iftkhar Muhammad Choudry, took “Oath” under PCO in year 2000. The Judges who did not want to serve the Judiciary while a man in Military Uniform was ruling the country did not take “Oath” under PCO. Then is was to the advantage of Mr. Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry. He took “Oath” as Chief Justice of Pakistan, while the country was still being ruled by the same General and the President having two portfolios. Now as he protesting against the President and has given an affidavit against the President, he has gone back on his “Oath”. Therefore he has lost his status as a Judge. The best way out for him is to resign, leave the “Bench” and go back to “Bar”.

I don’t hesitate to state any thing which according to my knowledge and experience is true. But while we are talking of the “Bench and Bar” it is not my experience and observation alone. This is an undeniable fact that our Judiciary is known to be the most corrupt department from very “bottom to top”. In lower courts a client who pays heavy Fee to his lawyers and their assistants, the typist, the peon or the office runner for every single move that these people make. Every one who has ever been to the court experiences that same treatment by his lawyer. After verbal or written examination of the “Plaint” the Lawyer tells his fee, that has to be paid immediately. Then the “plaintiff” has to pay the “Munshi” or the clerk of the Lawyer, He has to pay for each page of stationary and may have to buy writing material for the lawyer. Then he has to pay for the services of a “typist” who makes so many mistakes and the client has to pay for each correction. Once the case is filed, in first few months nothing is done. The court issues notices to the other party that takes lot of time. When the actual hearing starts, the Client has to be present in the court yet there is no compulsion for the lawyer to be present in the court. Or when a client reaches the court the judge is absent or is on leave or he simply does not feel on that particular day to sit in the court, or he has some visitors during court timings. Around 10 AM the Judges have a break for Tea. No one knows how long this break will last. Suddenly the “Reader” of the Court calls the plaintiff and gives him another date. The client of the Plaintiff or Defendant loses a full day and he/she is not sure if there would be a hearing on the next date. This is the common practice of our lower courts. They keep on giving date after date after date and yet they don’t get the Justice. The “Custodians of Law” and the “Advocates of Freedom of Judiciary” must free the Judiciary from all practices that becomes a constant pain and agony for those who pay the Fee and yet their cases are not heard or the lawyers are busy in agitation on one issue or another.

The newly born “Electronic Media” is still in its “Cradle”. They start crying over every thing. They have to oppose every positive move that any one makes. Their “Talk Shows” are nothing but “Mud Throwing” on the people who do not agree with these newly born scholars. Ever since the “Geo T. V” started their channel, it is giving one sided view on every issue. So are the other private television cannels. Every “Host” thinks he/she is Mr./Ms know all. They don’t talk what people did during so called “Democratic Regimes”. They have forgotten that democracy failed to give a “Constitution” to the nation for long Nine years (from 11th August 1947 to 1956) They don’t remember how Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and his party refused to accept the Electoral results of 1970 general elections. They have forgotten three portfolios of Mr. Bhutto from 20th December 1971 to 14th August 1973. Let me remind that he was Chief Martial Law Administrator in civil uniform, the President of Pakistan and the Defense Minister of “left over” Pakistan. His six years Authoritative Rule is still a night mare for Pakistan. He had his own army the “Federal Security Force” that was used against his opponents. He destroyed every institution of Pakistan. He would have destroyed the Armed Forces of Pakistan, had not General Tika Khan warned him after 23rd March 1973. Does our print or electronic media know how many people were killed because they opposed Mr. Bhutto. (Do they know Khawaja Rafiq who was shot and killed on Mall road Lahore) How many people of his own party were found in “Dalai Camp”. Do they remember or know that Khan Abdul Wali Khan and Mr. Sherbaz Mazari were found in Hyderabad jail? Mrs. Naseem Wali Khan discarded her black dress after Mr. Bhutto’s regime was overthrown by General Zia-Ul-Haq in July 1977? What did Mr. Bhutto say in his last press conference on 4th of July 1977 that lasted for two hours? Have our elite journalists forgotten the fate of Mr. Hanif Rammay and Ghulam Mustfa Khar? What happened from November 1988 to October 1999? What was the level of corruption during democratic regimes of democratic government of Ms. Benazir Bhutto and Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif? What happened to “Print Media” during these regimes, I hope the Daily Jang can throw more light on the issue. I would suggest that the “Electronic Media” which would not hesitate to give live coverage of a newly wedded couple! It a shame that we see every day on “Private Television Channels”.

Coming back to 26th May “Judicial Seminar”, the “Custodians of Law” must not forget that people in military uniform are not sitting ducks. It is the discipline that stops them from responding such abusive remarks, the discipline that the “Custodians of Law” has never practiced or I would say never learnt. To my surprise the Chief Justice Mr. Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry sat happily while his lawyers were giving such threats to the Pakistan army. The entire world knows that head of state of Islamic Republic of Pakistan is a serving General. What that has to do with serving officers, the Junior Commissioned Officers and common soldier of Pakistan Army? Pakistan army is either engaged in counter insurgency operations in tribal areas of Pakistan, or it is manning the International Borders for the safety of the people of Pakistan or it is in the “Barracks” busy in its routine work of training. Pakistan army as such is not seen on every corner of the roads in Pakistan. We are the people who have no time to right the wrongs of the civil society or heal the self inflicted wounds of our elite, and aggressive civil society. I know what we can do if we want to do. Only one Battalion is enough to take all of them down. Yet the army has always restrained from such activity. We are selfless bunch of people with sole aim of protecting our country from external and internal threats. We only come out of our bunkers and barracks in case of external and internal threat to the solidarity of our country. We come out of our Barracks in case of natural calamities. Or we have to come out when “Democratic Government” fails to collect “Utility Bills” and during “Census” though it is not our job. And we are called to maintain law and order during general elections.

On 12th October 1999 the then Prime Minister of Pakistan in his ego to become absolute master of Pakistan, made a big mistake. If on that day army had kept silent, at least two hundred and forty passengers and crew would have perished. The negative and irresponsible act of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif left no choice for army to react and save the live of hundreds of people along with their own Chief. Please imagine the state of mind of the innocent passengers and crew of the flight from Colombo to Karachi when their air craft was circling over Karachi. Please imagine the state of mind and agony of the relatives and friends of those passengers who were not being allowed to land and the Karachi Air Port. To kill one man the then Prime Minister of Pakistan put the life of so many people at stake?

The president of Pakistan General Pervez Musharraf is not so ill informed that he did not know what Mr. Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry was doing? If Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry‘s hands were clean, then why he opted to muster support of the lawyer community in a way that does not suit him as Chief Justice of the apex court of Pakistan? The President General Perez Mashrraf has openly admitted that there was some mishandling of the case against the Chief Justice, has Mr. Itchier Muhammad Choudhry some courage to admit his “mishandling” of the whole issue. Yesterday he gave an Affidavit in the court of the events that took place on 9th March 2007, yet he failed to admit that he had done many things wrong himself before and after 9th of March 2007? Now he is trying to be an angel? I hold Mr. Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry responsible for killing in Karachi on 12th May 2007. Had he given heed to the request of the government of Sindh, no life would have been lost.

Now the Lawyers, with full consent of Mr. Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry are threatening and challenging Pakistan Army of “Pealing off their skin”. Has the Lawyer community loyal to Mr. Choudhry stopped pealing the skin of their legal clients? Or has pealed off the skin of their clients to an extent that their clients have no skin left to be pealed off by the Lawyers. What do the lawyers do to their clients, is not hidden from any one. Rupees two hundred for this copy, Rupees four hundred for that copy, Rupees five hundred for the typist. They go an extent that after receiving full fee from their clients, they still expect and demand “Eid Cake” and money every now and then. I am sorry to state that some Lawyers behave like beggars and Mafia people. Yet these people talk of “Freedom of Judiciary” who has enslaved the whole judicial system in Pakistan. Name any person who does not know the dirt in lower courts?

I am an old soldier. I am not in uniform any more, before they take off the uniform of a General of Pakistan army and peal off his skin, I challenge them to try to peal off  my skin. May I suggest that the Lawyers and Journalists take the beam out of their own eye, they would be in better position to take the straw out of the eyes of Pakistan. I hope Mr. Aitzaz Ahsan and company will take the beam out of their eyes first.

Angels in Black.

CNI Gujranwala. The Judicial Crisis that started on 9th March 2007, must be seen in its true spirit. According to the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, it would be contempt of court to discuss the “Presidential Judicial Reference”, therefore the Issue will be discussed after the hearing of all matters pertaining to the “Presidential Judicial Reference” against Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry. But there is lot of room to discuss the conduct of every one involved in this crisis.

All political parties and especially the few Christian activists are presenting a very wrong picture that the President “Summoned” the Chief Justice of Pakistan to his Military Residence. The President has very clearly stated on a Private Television Channel that Mr. Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry “called upon” the President on his own request to discuss a complaint against the Chief Justice by another Judge. In Pakistan at least, every one knows that the President is a serving General. Friday the 9th of March was not a closed holiday. If a General was in “Uniform” when the Chief Justice arrived at the Camp Office or the Army House, it should not be surprising to any one. Mr. Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudry knew that the President is a serving General and he had taken Oath under the Presidentship of the same General, on Friday, he would be and should be in Uniform. I would like to ask the Christian protestors, did the Chief Justice go to see a General or the President of Pakistan? Certainly he went to see the President and not the Chief of Army Staff. He also knew that the Chief of Army Staff is a General and wearing his Military Uniform was a routine matter. Presence of other army personal in Army House is also a routine matter. If other generals or staff officers were present in Army House, this should not be taken as pressurizing the Chief Justice. He was not detained at the Camp Office of the President rather he studied the “Reference” against him at length. He also knew that the President is bound by the Constitution to send such “References” to the “Supreme Judicial Council” for finding out the validity of such references.

What I has witnessed thereafter, Mr. Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudry alone is responsible for that. If the allegation against the Chief Justice were baseless he could defend them himself. He is an expert on Law and the Constitution or is expected to be one as the Chief Justice. Why did he make it a “Big Issue”? I very  much believe that a “Conspiracy” against the stability of Pakistan was already prepared by the “Hidden Hands” and the Chief Justice was part of it. Let me explain according to the sequence of events.

On 9th March 2007, Mr. Justice Iftkhar Choudry meets the President on his own request (knowing that the President will be in Military Uniform and the State Television will give coverage to this meeting). He is informed by the President (not a General) about the “Reference” against him, (That he already knew) and the same evening a private television channel starts "Politicizing" a purely “Judicial Matter”.

I very much suspect that the Chief Justice had come to meet the President after having done his “Home Work”. He knew exactly what he was doing and what the “Conspirators” wanted him to do. He knew that he would be made “Non- Functional” and certain facilities will be withdrawn after he becomes “Non-Functional”. He had links with anti government or to be more specific, “Anti General Pervez Musharraf” forces or hidden hands. Withdrawal of the facilities, cutting telephone links can be justified in view of his immediate violent reaction and his seeking help of the Media and political parties.

I wish to express my personal views on the visit of Mr. Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry. In my personal opinion no Judge especially a Judge of the “Apex Court” must be seen with any government official in official or person capacity. Normally Judges even do not attend government functions and refrain from meeting any class of citizens. They do meet the Lawyers in Bar Functions but are very careful that the “Bar Function” is purely restricted to “bar and Bench”. Judges don’t attend a “Political Bar Function”.

On 10th March 2007, the Lawyers and political leaders start demonstrations on a matter that was yet to be decided by the competent court or “Supreme Judicial Council”. The Lawyers, who favored the governments or stayed neutral, lost their “Bar Membership” including the Lawyers of State.

On 12th March 2007, the Lawyers protest continues, creating countless problems for countless common citizens of Pakistan. Roads were blocked by Police or protestors. As an “Eye Witness” I state that in Lahore, it was Lawyers “who took Law in their own hand first and stormed” the Police with stones and batons. (I was to attend a meeting in building adjacent to the Lahore High Court Lahore on 12th March 2007). The Police retaliated and I narrowly escaped and some how managed to get out of the area and Lahore. (Few Days earlier a group of Lawyers went to the Office of Excise and Taxation Department Lahore and bet the staff in their office) Who can justify such conduct of Lawyers?

On 13th March 2007, Chief Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry wanted to walk with his wife to the Supreme Court, in protest. (As I understand, a Judge does not protest, he follows the course of law or resigns) More over, under the prevailing situation in Pakistan, no government official could take the risk to allow him to walk all the way to the Supreme Court. He was provided Official Transport, that he refused. I personally condemn any man handing by the “Law Enforcing Agencies”, mainly the Islamabad Police. Yet I would like to know why things went that far? Latter he came to the Supreme Court in the car of his Lawyer, Mr. Aitzaz Ahsaan, an active politician and bitter critic of the President and the government. However this is not my problem. To my horror I saw the Chief Justice coming to Supreme Court under the flags of Political parties the most prominent flag was of Pakistan People’s Party. He came to the Supreme Court not as an Honorable Judge but a common political leader in making. He was crowded by the Lawyers and political workers, who were pulling his “Black Coat” and “Black Tie”. From every angle this was the real insult of the Chief Justice of Pakistan and not the “Presidential Judicial Reference”.

The conduct of Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry, as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, was against the “Dignity and Prestige” of a common Judge what to talk of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. I understand he was very much annoyed yet if the Judge of his status can not control his annoyance, he does not merit to be a Judge. Personally I was deeply disappointed by the conduct of Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry. The entire country had to face the shame and thousands of common people who had their hearings in the courts of Pakistan lost a full day for which they had already paid to their respective Lawyers. Thereafter on each hearing of the “Reference” the courts remained closed for common man. Mr. Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudry should have thought of the fact that to get justice for himself, (Out of Court) he denied justice to hundreds of thousands of common Pakistani people who are seeking justice.

Thereafter Mr. Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudry went on to muster support from various “Bar Councils” of Pakistan. He went to Peshawar Bar Council, and in his presence, political speeches were made and I remember more than one Lawyer making political speeches. They indicated that they are also in “Uniform” and this “Black Uniform” will now over throw the “Uniform” (Military Uniform). Mr. Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry could stop political speeches in “Peshawar Bar Council” yet he did not bother.

On 5th May 2007, Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry traveled from Islamabad to Lahore via Grand Trunk Road. It took him twenty five hours to cover a distance of 280 Kilometers. He travel along side political parties and his Lawyer Mr. Aitzaz Ahsan kept making anti government and anti President speeches at Rawat, Mandra, Gujarkhan, Dinna, Jehlum, Saraie Alamgir, Kharian, Lalamusa, Gujrat, Wazirabad, Gakhar, Gujranwala, Kamoke, Muridkey and Shahdra. Thus stopping almost every 20 Kilometers. It was not a journey of the Chief Justice of Pakistan, rather it was a political procession of a political leader. On 5th May 2007, Mr. Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry not only deprived the travelers of G. T. Road of their freedom of movement, he caused agony and anguish to thousands of travelers by blocking on side of the Two Lane Highway. He even blocked the Lahore’s busiest area for more than 24 hours. He reached Lahore after 9:00 AM on 6th May 2007, political speeches were made though the Chief Justice only spoke briefly on the topic of Freedom of Judiciary, Rule of Law and Supremacy of the Constitution.

I could not understand was he talking of Freedom of Judiciary or Freedom of “A” Judge? Rule of Law or his personal rule? Supremacy of Constitution or his personal Supremacy?

As far as the Freedom of Judiciary is concerned, it is absolutely free. I would say that Judiciary in Pakistan is enjoying a match-less freedom not to be seen any where in the world. (I shall elaborate this subject some other time) but Judiciary in Pakistan is extra ordinarily FREE)

The Rule of Law! Which Law? May I request the Honorable Chief Justice of Pakistan to please explain! The Rule of Law would have been to face the “Presidential Judicial Reference” in Court and not in “Bar Councils”, out side the Supreme Court, on the Streets and on national highways. Mr. Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudry, did not care for Rule of Law, how can he advocate Rule of Law. He did not bother to abide by the Constitution what provides him full protection, on the other hand he Desecrated the Constitution in ruthless manner.

On 12th of May 2007, Mr. Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudry is going to Karachi. His visit includes addressing “Malir Bar Council”, visit the “Mizar E Quiad” and address “Karachi Bar Council” and the “Sindh High Court Bar Coulcil”. He was requested by the Sindh government to postpone his visit to Karachi for there could be a security situation. Yet he went to Karachi. This blocked the whole city and the Karachi International Air Port and both incoming and out going  passengers are facing extreme difficulties. Does this suit the dignity and respect of a Jude of his level? Certainly not! My fears for Karachi might be wrong, yet I have served in Karachi and I know that a small spark can turn into a big fire in no time. If this happens, Mr. Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Chudhry alone will be responsible for that.

As far as I am concerned, Mr. Justice Iftkhar Muhammad Choudry remains Non Functional or Functional, he has lost his credibility as a Judge. He has made himself a very controversial figure and does not merit the office of the Chief Justice of Pakistan any more.

The fact remains that in Pakistani politics, Armed Forces were inducted by the civilian government of Pakistan when they made a general in “Uniform” the President of Pakistan. Another General in “Uniform” was included in the Cabinet as Defense Minister. Thereafter all politicians and sought military help to gain the power. From Bhutoo to Nawaz, all political leaders are by-product of Army or the Military. I challenge, give me a name that did not seek Army’s backing?

At this time being very neutral, I can’t see a single National Political Leader who can lead the nation in present international scenario. For good four and a half years no one uttered a single word for common citizens of Pakistan.

In September 1999 the same political leaders wanted to get rid of the then Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif. Slogans were chanted, “Go Nawaz Go”! I asked the political leaders through Kalam-e-Haq, September 1999 issue, “if Nawaz Sharif goes, who will come”? I did not get answer then. Today some people are chanting slogan, “Go Musharraf Go” yet no one is talking who shall replace him. In September 1999 I wrote “May be the days of “Martial Law” are gone. Yet General Pervez Musharraf came. Today if General Mushrraf goes, he might be replaced by another General and this new General will be acceptable by the world in the present scenario.

I was always of the opinion that Army must stay in “Barracks”, we prefer to stay in “Barracks” yet we are called upon even to collect the Utility Bills. Why? Why should I collect Utility Bills? As a soldier my duty does not include collecting “Utility Bills” and go door to door for “Census”. My job is to ensure external and internal security of Pakistan. I am ready to help the civil government in emergency situations like floods, epidemic and natural disasters and not collection of Utility Bills and going door to door for “Correct Census”. The nation wants that the army should stay in “Barracks”, then they must do their job and let the soldiers do their job.

Soon I shall request President General Pervez Musharaff to step down from a thankless job for thankless people. But who will lead the nation? May be Mr. Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry? In my opinion the Christian community is in safer hands under military rule. Has Mr. Iftkhar Muhammad Choudhry ever cared for Christian community. No he has not. He has never taken a “Somoto Action” when Christians are persecuted. I have requested him to look into the case of Hanifan Bibi and Mukhtaran Bibi and so many other Christians. He never replied or took action in favor of unfortunate Christians. Therefore I do not support him. I can not and will not support an “Angel in Black Coat”!

Follies of Dr. Zakir Naik

By

Bishop Timotheus Nasir

CNI. Gujranwala. Dr. Zakir Abdul karim Naik, a so-called Muslim scholar is in reality a tongue twister. He can “Twist” any word of any religion to his liking and to show his shallow knowledge. I call Dr. Zakir Naik a Hafiz or Memorizer as most Islamic scholars are. Today while speaking on an Islamic Television Channel, the Peace T. V, while denying the death of Lord Jesus Christ on Cross Dr. Zakir Naik denied the “Resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ” by quoting the verses that say, He is Risen”. He claims that the word “Risen” does not mean that the person who is risen was dead. He quoted verses from all Four Gospels that say, “He is risen”. He has problem in understanding of Bible and gives his own versions and meanings of “A” particular word or verse to prove his claim. I shall first take up the topic of death of Lord Jesus Christ on Cross and His burial.

The Holy Bible very clearly states that Lord Jesus Christ died on Cross. In Old Testament we can see a clear prophecy of the death of Lord Jesus Christ. Isaiah Chapter 53 gives details of life of Christ, His Crucifiction, and burial.

Prophet Isaiah foretold the Sufferings Death and Burial of Lord Jesus Christ.

Prophet Isaiah foretold the “Sufferings, Death, Burial and Resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ 2739 year ago in 732 BC. (Isaiah Chapter 53) Lord was to be from a poor family and we did not care for Him. (Isaiah 53:1-3) His sufferings for us (Isaiah 53:4-6) He died for our sins (Isaiah 53:7-8) His “Burial and Grave” (Isaiah 53:9) His “Resurrection” (Isaiah 53:10-12) How Dr. Zakir Naik can deny this truth after 2739 years? Yet he does deny because he can’t find any one who has gone through all sufferings, death, burial and resurrection in his faith.

The Wise Men from East predicted His death.

Matthew Chapter 2 Verse 11. Please note that “Gold” depicted His Kingship, Frankincense depicted His “Priesthood” and Myrrh depicted the death of Lord Jesus Christ.

King Herode plotted to kill Lord Jesus Christ in His infancy.

Matthew Chapter 2 Verses 16 to 18 we see that Lord Jesus Christ even in infancy was a threat to Devil who used King Herod to kill the Holy Child. Yet the Devil failed.

Lord Jesus Christ Foretold His Disciples about His Sufferings, Death, Burial and His Resurrection on Third Day.

“From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day”. (Matthew 16:21)

Lord Jesus Christ told his Disciples more than once. Also see Matthew 17: 1-8; 9; 12; 22-23; 20:17-19; 26:1-2. Mark 3:6; 8:31;9:9-10; 31; 10:33-34; Luke 2:29-35; 9:22; 13:34; 18:31-33; John 3:14; 11:16; 12:7; 13:1

The Priests Objections, Anger, Questioning and Plot to kill Lord Jesus Christ.

“And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were sore displeased, And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?” (Matthew 21:15-16) Also see Matthew 9:11; 9:34; 11:16-19; 12:13-14; 16:4; 21:23; 21:45-46; 22:15-21; 26:3-4. Preparations of the Burial of Lord Jesus Christ.

“For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial. Verily I say unto you, Where so ever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her”. Matthew 26:12; 13. Mark 14:8. John 12:7.

Plot to kill Lord Jesus Christ Finalized and Price Paid.

“Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver. And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him”. Matthew 26:14-16; Mark 14:10-11. Luke 22:3-6. John 13:2; 11; 27.

Lord Jesus Christ Knew the Betrayer and a Great Woe.

“And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me”. And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me. The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born. Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said. Matthew 26:21-25; 47-50.  Mark 14:10-11; 17-21. Luke 22:21-22; 47-48. John 13:2; 11; 21; 26; 18:1-3.

The Death of Lord Jesus Christ Confirmed.

The Pharisees and Scribes always wanted to kill Lord Jesus Christ yet the final verdict to put Him to death after a religious trial by the Caiaphas the high priest. It is written “Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy. What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death. Matthew 26:65-66; Mark 14:63-64; Luke 22:67-71;

Thereafter they took Lord Jesus Christ to Pontius Pilate the governor, as the Jews had no authority to punish and execute any one. Pontius Pilate knew that the Lord was innocent yet he had to give in. The High Priest had maliciously accused Lord Jesus Christ of proclaiming himself, King of Jews. This was a State Crime and death was the only punishment for such prisoners. On the instigation of the Priests the Jews demanded that Pilot must Crucify Lord Jesus Christ “Till Death”. Matthew 27:26 Mark 15:15 Luke 23:24-25 John 19:16. Lord Jesus Christ was crucified and died on Cross. Lord’s death was confirmed by Roman soldiers. See Matthew 27:50; 54; 57-59; 62-66 Mark 15:37; 42-45 Luke 23:46; 50-52 John 19:30; 31-34; 38.

Burial of Lord Jesus Christ.

Lord Jesus Christ was buried the same day before sun set as the Jewish day starts from sun set. Next day was the Special Sabbath and the body could not be buried on that day. More over the Romans after ensuring the death to report that the convict is dead, used to kill the crucified person. See John 19:31-34.

Historically speaking Lord Jesus Chist died on Cross and was buried the same day. There should be no doubt what so ever in any body’s mind that Lord Jesus Christ just fainted and as Dr. Zakir Naik claims, our Lord was risen from dead and not “Recesitated”. This is rubbish from Dr. Zakir Naik.

What Dr. Zakir Naik said is that Lord Jesus Christ never said I am risen from dead, according to him our Lord meant that He has risen from sleep. There is ample proof that Lord Jesus Christ suffered our pains, died on cross and buried. He came back to life the “Third Day”. According to the poor understanding of Dr. Zakir Naik, it means three days and three nights. The right understanding is that Lord Jesus Christ was crucified and He died on Friday afternoon, that is the “First Day”. His body was in grave from Friday evening and on Saturday night, the Second Day”. His body remained in grave on Sunday evening and before Dawn Sunday morning the Third Day.

Sign of the Prophet Jonah.

According to Matthew Chapter 12 Verses 39 and 40, Dr. Zakir Naik has great problem of understanding.

Matthew Chapter 12 Verses 38-45, explain that though Lord Jesus Christ is always ready to hear and answer holy desires and prayers, but those who see the sign and still ask will not be given. Signs were granted to those who desired them to confirm their faith, but denied to those who demanded them to excuse their unbelief. The resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ from the dead by his own power, called here the sign of the prophet Jonah, was the great proof of Lord Jesus Christ's being the Messiah. The Ninevites would shame the Jews for not repenting; the queen of Sheba, for not believing in Christ. It is a “Parable” and should not be taken as “Sign”. Lord Jesus Christ warned the “Sign Seekers” that the people of Nineva repented instantaneously, yet the people in their disbelief seek signs. Lord Jesus Christ is greater than Jonah, yet they did not believe him even after seeing so many signs, still they require more signs. I suggest Dr. Zakir Naik, if he still needs more signs, he should study the following verse from the Holy Koran. 3:7. “He it is Who has revealed the Book to you; some of its verses are decisive, they are the basis of the Book, and others are allegorical; then as for those in whose hearts there is perversity they follow the part of it which is allegorical, seeking to mislead and seeking to give it (their own) interpretation. But none knows its interpretation except Allah, and those who are firmly rooted in knowledge say: We believe in it, it is all from our Lord; and none do mind except those having understanding”.

Could Dr. Zakir Naik explain the verse from the Holy Koran, written above?

Lord Jesus Christ, Risen or Resuscitated?

Dr. Zakir Abdul Karim Naik MBBS claims that Lord Jesus Christ was not risen, He was “Resuscitated”. Resuscitation means bring back a person from a very serious health condition. There is a great different between resuscitation which is done by another person, while “Risen” means to rise without out side help. When we read the Gospels, we read the  passages where Lord Jesus Christ  has foretold told that He will Rise the third day. Read the passages in all four Gospel with reference to the context. Dr. Zakir Naik’s Follies stand exposed.

What the Holy Koran says for Lord Jesus Christ.

Sura No IXX

[19.33] And peace on me on the day I was born, and on the day I die, and on the day I am raised to life.

[19.34] Such is Isa, son of Marium; (this is) the saying of truth about which they dispute.

According to the Holy Koran Dr. Zakir Naik should not have had any doubt that Lord Jesus Christ, or “Isa”. The Holy Koran confirms that “Isa” or Lord Jesus Christ and He will die and He is raised to life. Why you have dispute about this truth as mentioned in Sura No IXX Verse 34, Dr. Zakir Abdul Karim Naik, MBBS?
