ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS:
No person will be admitted as a student who is not already twenty years of age and whose educational qualification is not at least University entrance pass. No student will be admitted who’s wife is not at least a primary pass. Prospective students holding the B.A or B.Sc. degree may be admitted as candidates for the Master of Divinity degree. Those holding F.A or F.Sc degree may be admitted as candidates for the diploma of Bachelor of the Theology and those holding matriculation certificates may be candidates for the diploma of Licentiate in Theology.
DOCTRINAL REQUIREMENTS:
The teaching in Seminary is based upon the following Doctrinal principals:
1.The original and supreme standard. The scriptures of Old and New Testaments are throughout the inspired Word of God, the only infallible rule of faith and practice.
2.Subordinate standards. The following creeds are based upon and are in conformity with the Scriptures.
The Apostle`s Creed.
The Nicene Creed.
The doctrinal definition of the Athanasian Creed
Thirty Nine Articles of Religion.
3.Essential doctrinal which are more fully set forth in the West-Minister Confession of Faith:
The doctrinal of the Trinity, declaring the true Deity and the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in the one Godhead. Apostle’s Creed.
The doctrinal of the true Deity and the real humanity of the Lord Jesus Christ, two Natures and one Person; His incarnation and Virgin birth.
The Doctrinal of the Holy Spirit, His Deity and true personality; His work of illumination of believers in the understanding of Scriptures and in making salvation effectual in the hearts of men.
The Doctrinal of the atonement, that we are reconciled to God through His Love for us as revealed in Christ offering up Himself a Sacrifice for sin to satisfy Divine Justice. The Doctrinal of man’s sinful and fallen condition and nature that he is by no means able to save himself but can be saved only by the Grace of God, through the Redemption provided in God’s great love and mercy through Christ as offered in the Gospel.
The Doctrine of Justification by faith only. The Doctrine of Regeneration, that a man must be born again to be saved. The Doctrine of the bodily Resurrection, Ascension, and Second Coming of Christ. The Doctrine of the Resurrection of the dead, the judgment, the eternal punishment of unbelievers and the eternal glory of believers.
The Doctrine of the Church Universal as the body of Christ consisting of those who are united to him in faith and confession. Baptism. Each student of Seminary shall in writing his acceptance of above the above Doctrinal principles and further that accepts that West-Minister Standards, VIZ, the Confession of Faith and the Large and Shorter Catechisms as based upon and in conformity with the Scriptures.
NOTE: Each member of the staff of the Seminary in required to declare writing, in his acceptance of the above Doctrinal principles, and further that he accepts the Westminster Standards as based upon in conformity with the Scriptures.
